Welcome to SPOILAWEEN, where we're digging up cult horror classics, disturbing movie news, and creatures that probably should've stayed buried. This week on Binge-Watchers Podcast with Johnny Spoiler, we're heading beneath the streets of New York City for C.H.U.D. (1984), the radioactive sewer monster movie that asks one very important question: What's really living underneath our cities, and why does the government keep dumping things down there? Starring John Heard and Daniel Stern, C.H.U.D. delivers cannibalistic underground mutants, glowing monster eyes, toxic government secrets, and one of John Goodman's earliest movie appearances. Here's the surprise: I've never watched the original C.H.U.D. until now! I've seen the ridiculous horror-comedy sequel, but the first movie is a completely different beast. The actors take the absurd premise seriously, the fully formed monsters look fantastic, and a few unexpected moments actually caught me off guard. My verdict? BINGE NOW. A very mild Binge Now. Barely. But those sewer-dwelling monsters earned it! Mum, I'm Alien Pregnant! A bizarre New Zealand body-horror comedy about an extraterrestrial pregnancy, dysfunctional families, and grotesque practical effects. Lucio Fulci's The Beyond Is Getting Remade! The 1981 Italian horror classic about a Louisiana hotel sitting on a gateway to hell is getting another shot at terrifying audiences. MOVIE OF THE WEEK: C.H.U.D (1984) Cannibalistic Humanoid Underground Dwellers! We're talking radioactive mutations, disappearing homeless people, government cover-ups, and some surprisingly effective creature designs. Plus, did you know C.H.U.D. helped inspire Jordan Peele's Us? Or that John Heard and Daniel Stern would eventually reunite in the Home Alone franchise, although they never shared a scene? Then an awkward government official shows up to relocate them, and all hell breaks loose. We're talking mythical seal-men, seagull ceremonies, a vegan trying to survive on an island full of carnivores, and possibly the greatest use of an iPhone in a fantasy movie. It's weird, it's hilarious, and it has a surprising amount of heart. Johnny doesn't hand out many BINGE NOW ratings, but this one might just deserve it. But first, the Home Video Headlines! John Goblikon, the internet's favorite heavy-metal goblin, has a bloody new horror-comedy web series called No One Survives. Meanwhile, Don't Breathe 3 is in development, with Jane Levy and Stephen Lang set to return. And Jamie Foxx is heading to Amazon Prime Video with Deadlocked, a courthouse hostage thriller that sounds like Die Hard with jury duty. Plus, this week's Fan Service and Staff Picks: A listener wants to know which is better: the original Alien Nation movie with James Caan and Mandy Patinkin or the cult-classic television series.     EAT AND RUN: The 400-Pound Alien Who Only Eats Italians?! | Weird ’80s Movie Night

    An alien lands in New York City…and decides Italians are delicious. Not Italian FOOD. Italians. Johnny Spoiler is back to audit somebody else’s life for a change, and this week we’re digging up one of the strangest forgotten movies of the ’80s: EAT AND RUN, the 1986 sci-fi horror-comedy about a 400-pound alien named Murray who develops an appetite for the residents of Little Italy. Yes. This movie actually exists. Detective Mickey McSorely is trying to convince everyone that a giant alien is literally eating New Yorkers while Murray gets arrested, wins a court case, gets released on bail, dates a judge, and continues his culinary tour of Little Italy. Somehow, Mickey eventually winds up in more legal trouble than the extraterrestrial cannibal. We get into the movie’s bizarre history, its New World Pictures connection, Ron Silver playing the whole thing surprisingly straight, Pat “R.
