Disappointed

I listened to episode #225 and was hoping to find a podcast to help me feel more comfortable in my skin and learn about healthy relationship habits and was wildly disappointed with how Summer and Vinny went about this episode. They discuss an episode of JVN’s show that has a “food addiction specialist” on it and rather than challenging that persons content, they made several comments about her body and how thin she was. I’m sorry, is that not body shaming? Is body positivity not meant for everyone? As someone who struggles with their body image, I found it very hurtful to listen to these hosts poke fun at someone else for the way they look, especially since I was in search of allies in the body positivity community. I don’t agree with only being body positive towards a certain body type, as I feel that completely defeats the purpose. Really discouraged and disappointed and hoping I can find a group of people who can help me be comfortable in my skin the way I am.
