Jeremy Wesler talks about FilmSprint, Entrepreneurism, Producing for Oakland Athletics, Freelancing

Join host Sam Jack as he sits down with creative entrepreneurs, technicians and artists to share their story about how they make it in this mad, mad world. Jeremy and Sam first me when they interned together on the Giant's Production team back in 2009. Not really sure where our careers where headed at the time, but we have since been knee deep in mobile sports broadcasting in some form or another. Catching his first break in 2012, Jeremy signed on a producer for the Oakland Athletics Production team. There he learned many valuable lessons, added some value to the format and style of in game content. Most importantly, he got to leave his own personal mark on the organization. However, we both strive to create our own mark in our own way. Jeremy's way had been through FilmSprint, a short film festival competition series. Operating year round, FilmSprint takes teams internationally and every skill level. Film Sprint’s mission is to create a space to grow for the artist in everyone. Here, our artists will turn complex obstacles into creative triumphs. They'll sharpen themselves - as creators and collaborators. Our film teams will manifest their imagination. Testing their guile. Honing their skill. Reflecting on our own work, we’ll develop our sense of ourselves. Enjoying the work of our colleagues, we’ll find inspiration for what is possible. filmsprint.com Don't forget to like & share the video, subscribe to our YouTube channel, youtube.com/viralmedianetwork415 Hit that bell for notifications! Leah T talks about that Van Life & Nashville Music, Live Performance of Original Songs Folk Rock Pop

Join host Sam Jack as he sits down with creative entrepreneurs, technicians and artists to share their story about how they make it in this mad, mad world. Leah T talks about developing her music career while also teaching music to make ends meet and striking the balance. She tells us the freedoms she has experienced by living the Van Life while still trying to teach remotely and establish any vestige of a live music circuit during the height of the pandemic. Mainly, she just expressed gratitude for her good fortune, finally settling(for now) in Nashville and taking the bad times as opportunities for growth. She also blesses us with a performance of her original songs! LEAH T is bound to dazzle any audience with her smooth vocals, funky piano chops, and irresistible charm. LEAH T has spent much of her life in the Twin Cities honing her craft as a uniquely creative singer/songwriter. Her many years spent studying the piano have transformed her into a dynamic solo performer as well as a magnetic frontwoman. After calling St. Paul, Minnesota her home for 24 years, LEAH T made the decision to move towards the Pacific coast and quickly dove head first into the Seattle music scene in 2015. She recruited The Baked Goods to back her solo project and further enrich the music's harmonic texture and deepen the groove. Leah T released her sophomore EP, Feeling things., in the fall of 2018. She also spent 2020 getting her DIY fingers dirty with a new release each month, most of which were accompanied by a unique music video. While still pursuing her original project, she was quickly scooped up by a number of local bands as a strong, supporting keyboardist and vocalist. In 2020, the artist community was one of many groups that suffered greatly during the pandemic. With live performances at a standstill and real time collaboration with bandmates nearly impossible, Leah T was forced to make decisions she felt would be in the best interest of her career and overall well being. In December, 2020, she moved into a converted cargo van in attempts to travel the country as safely as possible, chase inspiration, and grow as an artist and an individual. The journey took her from Seattle to Florida with a slew of stops in between. Leah returned to Seattle in the summer of 2021 but knew her adventure was far from over. In November, 2021, she hit the road again with a plan to plant roots in Nashville. During the next year, we can anticipate further releases and funky collaborations in unlikely locations. Tulley Rafferty talks twitch, Telltale games & the NEW Splinter Game

Delve into the mind of a Video Game Developer as this week, we talk with Tulley Rafferty about his background in the field. From working at Telltale Games to twitch.tv and what exactly goes into developing, designing and programming a game. I had the pleasure of working with Tulley o a few 48hr Film Projects over the years, so when it was time for him to make his own video game with live action elements, it was a no brainer to team up again. Viral Media Network produced the Video Production elements to his new experimental independent game called Splinter. VMN secured location, crew, gear as well as assisted with storyboarding, 2D graphic elements & other coordination. We chat about that experience as we shot all of the scenes over the course of 4 weekends. Then he programmed the game side of it with a few colleagues over the course of a few months. The end result is an immersive experimental video game experience. Check it out here! SplinterGame.com We also talk parenthood, balancing work/life/family & what helps him stay motivated to create. Sake Onederful talks Music, Nick Cannon, Social Change, White Privilege, Standing Up to Evil & Hate

SF Native & Veteran DJ Sake One pulls no punches. He's also not plugging anything or selling his latest live set, although he has done plenty-including fundraising for Covid Displaced/Essential Workers. He's an open book that isn't shy about discussing whatever subject comes up. I do feel bad as we are.both passionately talking current events,.protests, Covid19, riots, Nick Cannon, Trump, Racism...getting carried away we didn't devote nearly enough time to his love of music, the residencies he has held down for 5, 10, 20 years in some cases. We did get to talk about our favorite white Hip Hop Group: 3rd Bass. you thought we would say Beastie Boys? Sake is also very humble with the Outkast tribute night he's held for years, Tha Art of Storytelling that has blossomed into a whole movement, doing it across the country and even in the ATL, right in their backyard. One show he is particularly proud of, which again we ran out of time before discussing is Ooh They Mad, a roundtable discussion about current events and issues affecting Black & Brown folks striving for social justice, the end of police brutally & racial equality. Find him with co-hosts Chris Riggens, Paris Warr/Computer Blu every Sunday at 9pm on KPFA, 94.1 in the SF Bay Area. OTM is anchored by three Bay Area natives: Chris Riggins, a professional comedian; Paris Warr aka Computr Blu, a sex educator and cultural worker; and DJ Sake One, a professional DJ. The show incorporates analysis of current events and trends, both local and national, using humor and popular culture to deepen and broaden appeal. The show’s ultimate goal is to transform how our listeners interpret and understand the world, while infusing humor and culture into current pop culture and political discourse. KPFA IS ALSO HEARD ON KPFB 89.3 FM IN BERKELEY, KFCF 88.1 FM IN FRESNO, K248BR 97.5 FM IN SANTA CRUZ, AND KU SATELLITE INTERGALACTICALLY.
