November 1, 2026, All Saints Day Service, "A Glimpse of Heaven"

Worship Service, November 1, 2026 All Saints Day Sermon: "A Glimpse of Heaven" Scripture: Revelation 7:9-17 Rev. Stephen Coleman Let us know you joined us today! www.bit.ly/guest-rumc Learn more at www.reveilleumc.org It is difficult to say with clarity what the afterlife looks like. We tend to speak of it broadly and with allegorical language. But there are some things we can highlight about life after death. In our scripture passage from the Book of Revelation, it gives a glimpse of heaven as a place where we worship before God. It is a place we find because of the Lamb who leads us to the waters of life. It is a place of inclusivity, a place with no more tears, hunger, or thirst, a place of shelter and life. On this All Saints Day, we will focus on this glimpse of heaven from Revelation and how this vision impacts us in the here and now. October 25, 2026 Sunday Worship Service, Sermon Series: "Even Greater Things," Sermon: "Wealth and Eternity"

Worship Service, October 25, 2026 Stewardship Sermon Series: "Even Greater Things" Sermon: "Wealth and Eternity" Scripture:  Luke 16:19-31 Rev. Dr. Peter Moon Let us know you joined us today! www.bit.ly/guest-rumc Learn more at www.reveilleumc.org This service will gather around a central question, directed by this haunting parable. Does our wealth help us to see or hinder us from seeing the poor? One of the lessons is that all too easily, we can be the rich man who never saw Lazarus. His wealth blinded his vision. The gift of faith and discipleship is that it teaches us to steward and to fear our wealth.  Our generosity, at its best, enables us to see and serve Lazarus at the gate now. That earthly vision facilitates a joyous reunion in eternity, not only with Lazarus, but also with the Lord.  The following licenses apply to our worship services throughout the year: CCLI Church Copyright License 1975561, Size C CCLI Streaming License CSPL170027, Size C CCLI SongSelect Premium   OneLicense Annual License w/Podcasting, Category D References for our October 25 services: “When Morning Gilds the Skies” Tune: LAUDES DOMINI Music by Joseph Barnby (Public Domain) Arranged for handbells by Karen Roth © 2009 Choristers Guild “God Calls Us All” Text and Music by Mark Burrows © 2026 Choristers Guild “Rise, My Soul” Text: Robert Seagrave (1693-1759) Music: Traditional Folk Hymn Arranged for choir by Susan LaBarr © 2023 Walton Music Corporation A division of GIA Publications, Inc. “Toccata Brevis” Composed by Daniel E. October 18, 2026 Sunday Worship Service, Sermon Series: "Even Greater Things," Sermon: "Extravagant Generosity"

Worship Service, October 18, 2026 Stewardship Sermon Series: "Even Greater Things" Sermon: "Extravagant Generosity" Scripture: John 14:5-14 Rev. Dr. Peter Moon Jesus promised us that in him, we could do “even greater things.” This occurs, in many ways, through giving of our personal finances in a generous way. Generosity changes the world.  When we meet generous people, the air in the room changes. Self-centered people, with their lives and finances, suck the oxygen from the room. We worship a God of abundance and not scarcity, and that frees us up to be the cheerful givers of which Paul speaks. This week we will prepare to make our financial commitments for our stewardship campaign.  The following licenses apply to our worship services throughout the year: CCLI Church Copyright License 1975561, Size C CCLI Streaming License CSPL170027, Size C CCLI SongSelect Premium   OneLicense Annual License w/Podcasting, Category D References for our October 18 services: “Canticle” Composed by Arnold B. October 4, 2026 Sunday Worship Service "From Holy Spirit to Holy Hands"

Worship Service, October 4, 2026 Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow" Sermon Week 4: “From Holy Spirit to Holy Hands” Scripture: James 2:14-26 Rev. Dr. Peter Moon In this service, we will be reminded that the flow of the Holy Spirit is not intended to be stopped in us. The point is for the work of the Spirit to flow through us and beyond us. This occurs, as we will discuss this week, through “the work of our hands” (Psalm 90). We all receive gifts for the purpose of building up the body and equipping the body to reach out beyond the world. To paraphrase the words of James, "when we keep it all to ourselves, our faith becomes dead." The sermon will encourage us all to discern the gifts we have, and to put them to work in the ongoing flow of the Spirit. September 20, 2026 Sunday Worship Service "Uncaged Prayer"

Worship Service, September 20, 2026 Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow" Sermon Week 2: “Uncaged Prayer" Scripture: Luke 11:1-13 Rev. Dr. Peter Moon Setting aside time for the discipline of prayer can be hard.  Lots of things come up to stop the flow of our prayer life. That was the case for Daniel. He prayed anyway. Jesus teaches us, through the Lord’s Prayer, how to pray and gives us a vision of the kingdom of God in our prayer life that can inspire a renewed passion for the possibilities and hope within a devout prayer life.  The sermon will seek to inspire and encourage a deeper and more disciplined prayer life as we vow to serve our church and Lord through our “prayers, presence, gifts, service, and witness.” The following licenses apply to our worship services throughout the year: CCLI Church Copyright License 1975561, Size C CCLI Streaming License CSPL170027, Size C CCLI SongSelect Premium   OneLicense Annual License w/Podcasting, Category D   References for our September 20 services: “All Creatures of Our God and King” Text: LM with additions; St. Francis of Assisi, 1182-1226; Laudato sia Dio mio Signore  Translation by William H. September 13, 2026, Sunday Worship Service "The Me I Want to Be"

Worship Service, September 13, 2026 Sermon Series: "Go with the Flow" Sermon Week 1: "The Me I Want to Be" Scripture: Luke 10:25-37; John 7:37-39a  Rev. Dr. Peter Moon The expert in the law asked about eternal life. He wanted to know how to be all that he was supposed to be. The answer seemed simple. Love God and love neighbor. But it wasn’t enough for him, so Jesus tells a story. The sermon this week will introduce our series, "Go with the Flow." We can be more…we can be the person that we and God want us to be. We can love God and neighbor. We can live into the fruits of the Spirit. That occurs by opening ourselves up to the flow of God’s Spirit of grace. Will we seek this life for ourselves and our neighbors in the weeks to come?
