BUDDHA BEATS 103 - For The Love Of House Music

I have been doing a lot of reflecting lately, about all the music I've heard over the decades, and I can definitely say that House and Techno have always been constant for me. There's nothing like either genre, and there's always something new just around the corner. I've been in a very house music mood as of late, and I thought it's been a minute since I did a house mix. I did my usual digging online and came across some real gems. Some I hadn't heard in a good long while too. So I started fleshing out some classics, some new, but more importantly, some you may have never heard of. Like "When I Think About U" by Rob D'Shawn out of Detroit (who I know, and is releasing some seriously amazing music), and an excellent find like "Moving To The Sound" by Deep Fiktion on DT Weapons. I also contributed to this mix with my own "Everlasting" (releasing at the end of the month on Daibutsu Music), to help keep the dance floors busy. Enjoy the mix! TRACK LIST: 01. Alone (Original Mix) by Loops & Us 02. Feels Fine (Original Mix) by Cheesecake Boys 03. Way Too Long (Original Mix) by Paco Caniza 04. 4 The Love (Original Mix) by Karizma, DJ Spen 05. BUDDHA BEATS — Episode 99 / Hard Style

I have been a raver since 1992, and have been to lots of events over the years. My hope with these mixes is that I can somehow teleport you — my listeners — mentally to the spaces that these kinds of events went down in. Illegal "Outlaw" parties, full-blown armory/convention hall sized raves, super sweat-soaked club nights, all where you danced yourself into happiness. The DJs at those events brought their "A Game", and everyone left at the end having made new friends, and sore legs walking out. I have stories upon stories of nights like this. This month's mix reaches back yet again to encapsulate the feeling of these massive warehouse raves from the 1990s, as well as just providing sick tunes to dance to if there's no nightclubs or DJ nights near you. I hope these mixes provide you with the motivation to push the tables back, roll up the carpet, and get your groove on.  I've included a track that I've written at the end called "FLOORFILLER", that has done just what the title says most times I've played it. Something else to know about the show: All of these episodes are hand mixed by me (and the guests do theirs by hand too), and none of the mixes are repeated. Not a one. I hand pick the tracks that really speak to me from sources across the internet. Beatport, Bandcamp, Traxsource, Juno Download, Apple Music, Soundcloud, and others, as well as from my vinyl, cassette, and CD collections. The order in which they end up in the mix, that happens at the decks.   I really hope you enjoy this mix. If you check out the video mix for this episode, you'll get a sneak peek at some merch that will be available for you at the party on October 26th.
