Michael and Peter are nothing more than smug trolls who act like they are serious people. They do the classic pundits trick of strawmaning peoples arguments to “debunk” claims that aren’t even being made.
They hold people making claims they disagree with to a standard that they never meet themselves. They misrepresent studies while criticizing someone for misrepresenting studies. They are very interested in the quality of a study if it is used to make a claim they disagree with, but then will cite studies of equally poor quality to support their claims. They are, in a lot of ways, embodiments of what they spend their time criticizing.
In their minds they are the holders of truth and morality on all topics. There has never been an intelligent or moral person who has drawn a different conclusions than themselves. They are nothing more than well spoken trolls who spend their time making bad faith arguments.
