#47 Wife, mom, and above-knee amputee Angie Hauser talks about living beyond beauty standards and not letting an amputation stop her from trying new things

Living life as an amputee has not stopped her from walking, running, jump roping, surfing, and more. She talks about accepting her body, trying new things, and being inspired by the amputee community. She also shares her passion for inner beauty by talking about how no matter what our bodies look like on the outside, it's what is on the inside that counts.

#46 Financial Advisor Shari Rash helps women build a strong financial foundation, grow their wealth, and understand their money (without telling them to cut out avocado toast)

Shari Rash is a Financial Advisor and the founder of Greenway Wealth Advisory, a virtual financial planning firm. Shari helps women build a strong financial foundation, grow their wealth, and understand their money.

She discusses how our relationship to money growing up subconsciously creates our money personality and how taking control of our finances can be a source of empowerment. With her support and advice, she helps clients get the information they need to know about their finances so they don't have a stomachache anytime they open up their bank accounts.

In the episode, she also shares some great financial tips, including why budgets aren't helpful (and what we should do instead) and why we don't need to cut out our avocado toast.

#45 Jennifer Arthurton, founder of Old Chicks Know Sh*t, talks about exploring possibilities and embracing the what-ifs in your midlife

At the age of 50, Jennifer found herself an empty nester, unemployed, ill, and divorced. No longer able to define herself by external validation and titles, she looked inside to think about the possibilities and what-ifs of what she could do with her life at 50 and beyond.

She took her experience of growing older to start the company Old Chicks Know Sh*t - a podcast and community designed to inspire and support midlife women in chasing their dreams and living their kick-ass next chapter.

Now she encourages women to live as their most authentic selves and provides insights into how we can stop focusing on what we're losing as we grow older and instead focus on embracing who we are on the inside.

#42 Risa August, author of the memoir, The Road Unpaved - Border to Border with a Brain Tumor and a Bike, talks about overcoming challenges, embracing her changing body, and living life big

Risa was an Ironman athlete, but when she noticed that her body was changing in unusual ways, she turned to doctors for an answer. They ultimately found a tumor at the base of her brain and diagnosed her with Acromegaly.

She knew that her life and body wouldn't be the same, but that has not kept her from living big. Instead of focusing on what she couldn't do, she focused on what she could do. She pushed the limits of her body and ultimately rode her bike from Canada to Mexico down the Pacific Coast. She wrote a memoir about her journey called The Road Unpaved - Border to Border with a Brain Tumor and a Bike.

Risa talks about overcoming challenges, embracing her changing body, advocating for patients, and supporting others as a Gestalt Practitioner with a certificate in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy.
