    Welcome to this week's episode of the Igniting Your Health podcast.

           
    This week I'm talking about how getting into a daily walking routine can be done with ease.


    Sometimes we just overthink things, we plan it all out but we never take action.


    I’m going to make it easy for you in 3 easy step!

    And I'll share these step with you that will help you make walking a daily part of your routine without feeling like you’re giving anything up in return.


    Before you start any activity routine, please make sure you clear it with your doctor first.

    Because you don’t want to start adding a walking routine to your daily activity with an existing injury or medical concern.



    It wasn't long ago that I went from a position of being in control of my health to a position of overwhelm and frustration because I felt out of touch with time and doing everything for our new family addition, without consideration of my own daily healthy choices and habits.

     
    After years of trial and error, combined with my extensive knowledge of health promotion and injury prevention, I wanted to create courses and programs that were not just a “one size fits all”. Because I know how different we all are … our body’s react and adapt very differently to exercise.

          
    I wanted to create a lifestyle awareness that allows busy moms and woman alike to take back control of their health without having to give anything up in exchange.



    And now, as I add personalized coaching to the mix, my mission is to inspire and empower all women struggling with their weight, time management, and overall health so that they can transform their lives to one of understanding exercise and the benefits of health promotion leaving them full of confidence and in control of their health.

    Are you "too busy" or are you being productive?

    Hello and welcome to this week's episode of the Igniting Your Health Podcast!


    This week’s episode is all about distinguishing between being “too busy” and being productive.


    In my many years of working with clients in the healthcare settings, and in my everyday world, I hear a lot of women and moms alike talk about how busy they are … how those to-do lists never seen to end.

    Then you're left feeling like you're always stressed out, rushing from one thing to another and not really taking the mornings in stride, doing 1 thing at a time … rather you're trying to do all the things in the same amount of time.


    That’s when you realize that being “busy” only causes you to be more stressed.
    Because when you stress yourself to the point of not having enough time, you’re making yourself feel like you’re behind and you can’t get what you have to do done.



    Instead of telling yourself that you don’t have the time or that you're too busy, start to telling yourself that some things are just not a priority for you at this time of day.


    Because by saying this, you get the feeling that you're taking control of what’s right in front of you.
    And you're putting attention on what’s most important for you at that moment in time.


    So, by taking control of your priorities, it makes you feel like you have more time in my day.
