    Impromptu Who: Episode 5 - Hide #JustDoItAlready

    On this new (finally!) episode of Impromptu Who, Colin and Brian get to dig into an episode from the modern era of Doctor Who! Unfortunatly, it's got poor storytelling, bad pseudo-science that's never fully explained and a unnecessary love story forced in out of nowhere (wait...I thought we left all that behind in Classic Who...WTF?!). We're creeping in Caliburn House, and the Doctor's just realized his proton pack's on the fritz as we review the episode "Hide"!     Impromptu Who: Episode 4 - Inferno #BritishNazisMustDye!

    On this Pertwee-centric, and again, unnecessarily drawn-out episode of Impromptu Who, Colin and Brian discuss all seven episodes of "Inferno" (the final serial in which we feel like we've stared directly into the Time Vortex). We discuss the Doctor attempting to escape his Earth exile, but wibbily-wobblies his way into an alternate dimension where Britain is run by an authoritarian regime similar to "1984" or a particular German variety. Colin just wants a simple explanation of the poorly-explained pseudo-science, whereas Brian is just tired of 7-episode serials (SPOILER: this is the last one, we promise).     On another unnecessarily drawn-out episode of Impromptu Who, Colin and Brian discuss all seven episodes of "The Ambassadors of Death" (another serial where we feel like we've stared directly into the Time Vortex). We discuss the Doctor in a space capsule, how UNIT is incredibly incompetent in this episode and how one particular character overuses the phrase "moral duty" (hehe...duty).     On this unnecessarily drawn-out episode of Impromptu Who, Colin and Brian discuss all six episodes of "Doctor Who and the Silurians" (we lost count after Episode 2, it felt like 100 episodes). We talk about how this particular serial was so long, we felt as if all time was bleeding together, Brian's preferment of the Silurians from New Who and how a signal from this episode sounds like a bootleg track ripped from "Ocarina of Time" Our subject from this episode is Doctor Who: Season 7, Episodes 5-11, titled "Doctor Who and the Silurians"

    On this regenerated episode of Impromptu Who, Colin and Brian discuss Jon Pertwee's run as the Doctor and how his tenure can be summed with one word: SUAVE. We also discuss the Brigadier acting more like a grumpy parent with new companion Liz Shaw and how the villains in this serial range from stoic pensioners to melted "Milk Duds" people to tentacle butthole monsters.
