    Support for Young Fathers

    To support men in their fatherhood journey, Focus Hope's Men In Motion Fatherhood Program is supporting young fathers by providing resources and mentorship.     Assisting Detroit's Youth With Obtaining Careers in Technology

    To help youth identify their voice and improve their self-awareness, InsideOut Literary Arts is seeking to hire Black men to serve as writers-in-residence for Detroit's youth.  In this episode we sit down with Shawntai Brown, Schools Coordinator for InsideOut Literary Arts, to learn more about the initiative to engage Detroit’s youth in literary arts by utilizing Black men as writers-in-residence.

    Improving Literacy In Detroit: Utilizing Black Men as Reading Mentors

    To improve literacy rates in the city, Soar Detroit has started an initiative to recruit 100 black men to serve as reading mentors for Detroit's youth.  In this episode we sit down with the CEO of Soar Detroit, Russell Harris and the Director of Partnerships and Training, Sheree Dial, to learn more about their initiative to improve the literacy of Detroit's children by utilizing Black men as reading mentors.  If you are interested in becoming a reading mentor please sign up at www.soardetroit.com/mentor.
