    #32 - Cannabis Conversation w/ Chris Voag

    #32 - Cannabis Conversation w/ Chris Voag

I had a great time chatting with Chris Voag for this episode! Chris is a cancer survivor who found great benefits of supplementing medical cannabis throughout his cancer treatments and after. He shares how helpful it was with his pain and nausea and overall outlook on life.
Chris shares great experiences of people finding great benefits of cannabis including his father who survived stage 4 oral cancer.
Chris was led to start his own company called Sir and Lady Cannabis Apparel. Founded in 2016. They provide quality clothing, but also a platform for other Cannabis Warriors such as himself to tell the world of how Cannabis gave them a better quality of life when all else failed. Through this venture he's bringing to light so many beautiful stories of people healing.

    31 - Intro to Cannabis

    31 - Intro to Cannabis

As a prequel to our episode with Chris Voag, this is an intro to cannabis if you will and how I've used it over the years medicinally to treat many things including anxiety, depression, migraines, insomnia, chronic pain and more.
This is not an episode to tell everyone to get off all their meds and just use Cannabis, it's simply coming from my own personal experience and as always is not meant to be medical advice. Stick to your professional care taker for that.

    #30 - Movember w/ Greg Oliva

    #30 - Movember w/ Greg Oliva

It was an honor to chat with Greg Oliva for this episode. Based in Los Angeles, Greg is a Member of the community development team working with dedicated Mo Bros and Mo Sisters from around the US to support them in their efforts to raise funds and awareness for men’s health. He works for Movember as their Community Development Manager. He shared so much information that was new to me and it's so worth taking time on the Movember.com website to learn about the scary numbers regarding men's mental and physical health. Just to name a couple: 3 out of 4 suicides are men and there's one a minute. Meaning just during this podcast alone, 60 men have taken their life.
Greg not only talks about the stats but he talks about all the tools continually being developed to stop this number in it's tracks and preventing men from dying too early.
Movember has long been my favorite charity and causes. It’s the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale, focusing on mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer. Movember is best known for their campaign they do in November where November 1st you clean shave your face and grow a statue throughout the month which opens up conversations to others. They also have a way to create your own Mo-Community on their website and have friendly competitions for raising funds for more research and prevention tools. Movember has given the largest donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
The charity raises funds to deliver innovative, breakthrough research and support programs that enable men to live happier, healthier and longer lives. Committed to disrupting the status quo, millions have joined the movement, helping fund over 1,250 projects around the world. In addition to tackling key health issues faced by men, Movember is working to encourage men to stay healthy in all areas of their life, with a focus on men staying socially connected and becoming more open to discussing their health and significant moments in their lives.
The charity’s vision is to have an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health. To donate or learn more, please visit Movember.com.
Hope you enjoy this conversation and please share it with the men in your life!

    #29 - Recent Anxiety Experience

It's never fun when you feel like you've made so much progress with your mental health then BAM!!! Anxiety, depression, OCD etc hits you like a ton of bricks. It's times like these that I've been trying to realize that it doesn't mean I haven't made progress, it just means now I have more experience now and more tools to deal with it. It means that with experience, you know that you'll still have good moments and days.
The importance of speaking up because all the more clear this time. Take care of yourselves.

    #28 - Rant on Racism

You'll have to forgive me for the audio quality on this one. I was on a 6hr drive traveling and decided to record this episode that I've been wanting to do for awhile. Wish it sounded better but the message is there no matter how scatterbrained it was. I was sincere in what I said.
    Hope you enjoy it.
