Food for the soul

I first encountered the music of Michael Card in college shortly after becoming a Christian, and was immediately struck by the realization that music, apart from stirring the emotions, could also be a tool for teaching and discipleship. I've been a fan ever since, listening to his music, reading his books, and attending conferences and retreats where his teaching gifts are on display in ways that are deep and edifying. Those same gifts are reflected in this podcast, and it feeds my soul every time I listen. Most of all there is a deep love for Jesus and for Scripture that saturates every recorded moment. Between wonderful conversations, reflections on God's word, and music that feeds both the heart and the mind...I cannot recommend "In The Studio With Michael Card" enough.

The Beginning (LP edition)

This rich, beautiful podcast was needed refreshment for my soul. The last year has been more of a wilderness than I even would have expected to face this time last year as the challenges have been and seem to continue to be one on the heels of another.
I immediately shared the link with a dear sister in Christ upon hearing it Monday night. We’d just been discussing two of the songs on Monday morning, particularly how it has been quite the wilderness this year and God gives us the freedom to begin again and again—much welcome encouragement as God establishes us as sons and daughters. God is always good and faithful.

Thank you for encouraging us

to move with Father God , Son Jesus through their Spirit. As others have said, God uses you to help us read scripture outside the old tattered box of religious thought.
Again, thank you for using music parables to invite us to draw closer the the lover of our soul.
