An entertaining podcast about self-awareness and discovery. The title Infants on Thrones is an homage to the Mormon Founder Joseph Smith who said, in his lesser-known King Follet discourse, that eternity is full of thrones, upon which dwell thousands of children, reigning on thrones of glory, with not one cubit added to their stature. It is a funny image, but it also suggests that we, as amateur podcasters, do not really have all the answers we may think we do. We can't take ourselves too seriously. We are also Infants on Thrones.

Ep 780 – Reflections: Excommunication The Musical

Welcome to January 2022.  The Infants on Thrones podcast will be turning 10 years old this year. To reflect upon the impact that this podcast has made on my life — and the impact that my life has made on this podcast — I am creating a 13-part series called “Reflections” that will run through the month of January.

Ep 779 – Reflections: Infants on Mormons Stories

Welcome to January 2022.  The Infants on Thrones podcast will be turning 10 years old this year. To reflect upon the impact that this podcast has made on my life — and the impact that my life has made on this podcast — I am creating a 13-part series called “Reflections” that will run through the month of January.

This episode commemorates the moment of our “Dehlin bump” in 2014 when our listenership tripled — a significant time in the history of this podcast. It is also interesting to look back at what we all said we thought would happen with the podcast (and with the Mormon church), and to see what actually has happened with the podcast (and the mormon church).  Enjoy!

To reflect upon the impact that this podcast has made on my life — and the impact that my life has made on this podcast — I am creating a 13-part series called “Reflections” that will run through the month of January.

This episode contains the first three books of Abraham, retranslated through the snarky mind of a snarky Infant.

Snark alert: It is full of snark.

This is an awesome collection of amazing listener essays, interspersed with a few classic parody songs.

It’s been years

Glenn has helped me through so much since 2015 when I left the Mormon church. I too have had a similar transition after leaving: Angry, agnostic, atheist, and now spiritual with a deep sense of curiosity and openness. I question everything and have opened up a whole world of “woo-woo” that now science is coming around to on its own. Thank you Glenn.

A wandering journey

I have went from belief to disbelief and yet on again to “there’s a lot I do not know about this world”. This is a great podcast. I look forward to it every week and I’m not an exmormon.

Evolved beyond Recognition

The show has evolved, which is fine, but it’s not really IoT anymore at this point or at any point in the last couple years. More like Glenn’s musing on the metaphysical and a vehicle for his life coaching, which is kind of funny considering some of their past criticism of John Dehlin. I used to be a Patreon, but back then Patreon episodes seemed to be largely Glenn mailing it in deconstructing this socially awkward guy who posted church lessons on Facebook.
