Crisis is something that happens to us and is mostly out of our control. Usually involves loss. Can be physical, emotional, relationships, work related. Can you re-frame and as an opportunity or blessing in disguise. Was with family hunting for mushrooms in southern Indiana and my mom and I got turned around and out of communication with my father and brother [before cells phones]; Do you believe in self-reliance? Emerson's essay has many lessons;Precautionary principle says is something may be harmful, pause until there's data it's safe, looks like government and industry don't want to follow that principle which results in harms to human beings; Tao of leadership and life are ideas and thoughts with slightly different tone, but recognized in many practices.

Visited and celebrated bicentennial of Morgan County where we saw people in period costumes, black smiting , candle dipping, weaving demonstrations as well as old time farm tractors, farm animals and learned the difference between llamas and alpacas. Went down to the vendors and saw all sorts of crafts. I was drawn to some live edge furniture, but I rarely impulse buy. When I got home, I kept thinking about the live edge furniture and where I could use a piece in my home. It took until mid-morning on Sunday when the light bulb went off, and I took a 20-minute trip back to the fair. At first, I didn’t see the booth and thought maybe they didn’t come back for the second day when I saw their live edge sign. They sold a the majority of their stock on Saturday, but still had a few pieces I could use. Bought a book shelf style and got it home. I wasn’t prepared at that moment to put where I wanted. Had to move everything off my desk, decide what to keep or throw away, clean the area and then put book case up on my desk and arrange things as I wanted. It took over a day and half. One small decision led to a cascade of events that initially weren’t even on my mind, but really like how it’s turned out. This 200 year anniversary reminded me how lucky I was to be born in USA and while not perfect, we have the opportunity to live our best life and pursue our desires, dreams and visions. Many people living mediocre lives instead of taking the their vast potential to be great, fabulous, phenomenal and outstanding How do you think about your life, is it hard and a struggle? You have the opportunity to change your mindset. Can you look at life as a playground with swings, slides, sandboxes, climbing wall and problems, obstacles as an opportunity to play so that you can grow, improve, learn or even change. I wrote on some old papers I found while moving stuff from my desk a sentence “Peace requires complete and total forgiveness.” That reminded of South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation process. I use gratitude/appreciation and forgiveness which has helped to transform my life into a calm, peaceful, joyful oasis where I don’t allow others to upset energy and vibration. Forgiveness is a gift you given yourself. Forgiveness means you love yourself more than the hurt caused by another person or circumstance. Chose forgiveness. Direct your energy to forgiveness. What does freedom mean to you? Example given of what I want freedom to do and freedom from. self published a book on Amazon Kindle called the 5 big life lessons from A Christmas Carol. Going to discuss # 1 and 2 big life lessons that we can all learn. Number 1 is change is always possible at any time. Number 2 is that relationships and connections matter. Human beings crave face to face connections.

Went for hike in state park, was humid, but overdid, get outside and move; How do you feel: Hopeless? helpless? It's neither for me, I'm hopeful and you can use blessings & prayers to help yourself and others;Do you have more positive thoughts than negative, process/procedure to monitor your thoughts, taking inventory; Grief, How do you deal with grief; use gratitude to ease the pain and lessons learned from deaths of others; Ideas of spent coffee grounds: facials, fertilizer, compost; Homeopathy was favorite of royal families; What has humanity accomplished is 5,000 years,Fire, conquer animals instead of being afraid to leave the cave; agricultural products; social organization based on being able to solve disputes without violence, development of tools and machines, printing press, educational system founded to pass wisdom and ideas to next generation, but still a ways to go by using compassion, cooperation, collaboration.

Tao: Natural laws or how things happen, how to live conscious harmony with everything, method of leadership, be like water: soft, but strong; Challenges the paradoxes of life, yield to endure, life simple life, speak simply, pay attention to silence; Are you stuck of lost, more options to try/implement: forgive someone or everyone, stop making excuses which is a waste of time and energy, Stop the blame game, don't give away your power, be brave and have courage, acknowledge fear but do it anyway because of what you can gain, Tragedy is hard and difficult to endure, but there are steps you can take, be patient with yourself, don't hide or repress, express your emotion, define tragedy for yourself in personal terms, keep perspective, things will get better and improve over time, Universal Laws of Sufficiency & Abundance, Inverses or Polarity, Habit; Personal Responsibility which means I'm not a victim, charting my own course, confidence in who I am, where's your attention, what are you focused on, are you distracted, attitude is a free will choice and what are you choosing,
