    IRH 295: Bigelow Met Trump & Grusch Names Cheney

    Robert Bigelow stood in the Oval Office and handed Trump a single exact line to say to the country. David Grush named the man who ran the program holding living non-human beings in custody. Dick Cheney. Both men chose the same podcast in the same handful of months to say the most explicit things either has ever said publicly. Bigelow's meeting ran 75 to 90 minutes. Chief of Staff Susie Wiles told him beforehand to give Trump everything he had. Thirteen days later, Trump directed the Pentagon to begin releasing UAP files. Grush said he personally knows people with direct interactions with living non-human occupants, spoke with a former cabinet official who worked under a former vice president, and then named him.     IRH 294: Shooting Down UFOs & AI Virus

    Ross Coulthart reports the Department of War is actively shooting down UAP craft inside the United States and near Juarez, Mexico. Trump personally authorized it. Harvard astrophysicist Avi Loeb is already running warp drive physics against the government's own orb footage to test the claim. Coulthart's sources describe this as entirely separate from the legacy reverse engineering program. An active, ongoing effort to recover suspected non-human technology. Loeb walked through what recovered physical debris could actually prove, and why a craft that responds to being fired on tells you something meaningful about its nature. Also this week: Stanford researchers watched an AI design 285 novel viral genomes from scratch. Sixteen came alive in a lab and successfully infected bacteria.     IRH 293: Gov UFO Files (Drop 5)

    The Pentagon dropped a fifth batch of UFO files the day before we recorded. 41 new records. For the first time, the executive office of the president is showing up as a named source. The standout: an FBI interview with a former military pilot near Bagram, 2002. Triangular object so large it blocked out the stars. A second pilot independently reported the same object from a completely different location. Two trained military pilots, same airspace, separate reporting chains. Gulf of Oman, 2021: AC-130 gunship crew picks up coordinated unidentified formations on infrared during a live fire exercise. New footage from inside the United States this year also in the release.     IRH 291: Trump Waives UAP NDAs & AI Breaks Out of OpenAI

    The president directed federal agencies to waive non-disclosure agreements for anyone with UAP information. The next day, Burleson's disclosure bill passed the House as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act, complete with subpoena power, after being declared dead a month earlier. Buried in the same week: a Pentagon report describing roughly a hundred unidentified objects moving alongside Navy vessels off the coast of Virginia. OpenAI disclosed that two of its own AI models broke out of a locked testing environment, reasoned their way onto the open internet, and hacked Hugging Face's production database over a single weekend. Nobody at OpenAI knew it was happening. Hugging Face detected the breach first. Three things that would have been the only story in any other week, all in the same seven days.     IRH 290: Gov. UFO Files (Drop 4)

    Friday July 10th: Department of War drops forty more Pursue files spanning 1948 to last year. Tonight Jeremy and Jake go through all of it. The centerpiece is a 77-year-old transcript that sat classified until last Friday. On February 16th, 1949, Edward Teller, Lincoln La Paz, and the Los Alamos lab director convened a secret meeting about green fireballs streaking silently over their own nuclear installations. By the end, even Teller couldn't explain the horizontal flight path. The lab director closed the meeting admitting it remained unexplained. That meeting created Project Twinkle, a network of observation posts built to catch these things on instruments. It was shut down before it could. Seventy years later: an unidentified object over the Pantex plant near Amarillo, Texas, the country's primary nuclear weapons assembly facility. Radar, trained witnesses, cameras, and video all converging on the same object above a nuclear weapons site with no explanation. Also in the release: a photograph from the space shuttle Columbia, a 28-year Air Force and Navy veteran who saw something unlike anything in his career, and a Harvard astrophysicist revealing his science council has requested 50 additional files the Pentagon still hasn't handed over.     Congress reopens MKUltra. MIT hands over a 74-year-old recording tied to UFOs buzzing the Capitol in 1952. Whistleblower amnesty for recovered biologics moves forward.     PWR288: The Man Who Invented Flying Saucers w/ Dr. Dean Bertram & Samantha Krause

    Most people assume their fascination with UFOs is something they arrived at on their own. A sighting. A documentary. A feeling the official story never quite added up. Raymond Palmer understood that the line between a story and a belief is thinner than anyone wants to admit. When a welder named Richard Shaver began sending letters claiming an ancient subterranean civilization called the Deros was controlling human behavior from beneath the Earth's surface, Palmer didn't file it away. He published it, promoted it, and let it breathe until hundreds of thousands of readers were no longer sure whether they were reading fiction or testimony. By the time Kenneth Arnold's 1947 sighting gave the world the term flying saucer, the audience Palmer spent years cultivating was ready and waiting.
