Instead of just seeing the sign on the street, I wanted to get past the sign and really get to know the person behind the business. To find out who they are and what passion they had to start their company. Maybe that way we can really get behind our business community and make the choice to support local!

Kids and adults alike are busy learning at Under the Sun. The Leduc art studio is the first of its kind in Canada, offering both accredited and non-accredited options in skills such as stained glass, kiln, glass casting, torch, lampworking, and glassblowing.
Owner Chandell Popik is no stranger to teaching. She’s been involved in education for many years, including helping with literacy efforts in third-world countries. One of her favorite projects is the Belize Literacy Project, which she worked on for over 10 years with other Alberta teachers to improve education in developing countries.
