    From Fearful Street Dog to Helping Other Dogs: Clara’s Story

    In this episode of insPAWed, we sit down with Sarah Power to share the remarkable story of Clara, a former street dog from Texas whose journey from fear to trust changed both of their lives. Sarah first met Clara in 2022 while working at a dog training facility. Clara was extremely fearful of people, and it took months of patience and consistency for Sarah to earn her trust. Two years later, their relationship changed forever when Clara's human became seriously ill and called Sarah for help. Sarah had once promised she would be there if Clara ever needed her, and she kept that promise. Today, Clara's life looks very different. She hikes regularly with Sarah, has started her New Hampshire 4,000 footer journey, appeared in a background role for Apple TV's Widows Bay, and now helps Sarah work with other dogs as a demonstration and teaching dog. Just months apart, Erin and Bo were both diagnosed with cancer.     How Stella the French Bulldog Became a Therapy Dog Loved by the Community

    In this episode of insPAWed, we sit down with Chuck Chopak of Team Stella to explore how his French Bulldog Stella became a nationally certified therapy dog making a difference throughout the Haverhill community. From the very beginning, Stella and Chuck formed a close bond. Because Stella had not yet completed her vaccinations when she first came home, Chuck carried her everywhere in a front sling during her early months, creating a strong connection that only deepened over time. Known for her friendly personality and love of people, especially children, Stella naturally connected with everyone she met during daily walks through downtown Haverhill. After completing Canine Good Citizen training, Chuck and Stella were encouraged to explore therapy dog work, eventually becoming a nationally certified Pet Partners Therapy Team. Today, Team Stella visits skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities throughout the area and participates in Stories with Stella at the Haverhill Public Library, where children read to Stella during special sessions designed to build confidence and connection.
