2. Intersection of Multiple Identities with Sequana Murray (S1 E2‪)‬ Broadening the Narrative

    • Society & Culture

In this episode of Broadening the Narrative, I talked with my friend Sequana Murray, or Bandy as she is known by her stage name. Sequana is a Black woman who is low-income, Queer, and a single mother. We discussed what her experience has been like in the church living at the intersections of multiple marginalized identities. A clip from Bandy's song "Confessions" closes out the conversation. I hope that if you know and love me you can engage with the Broadening the Narrative blog, social media accounts, and podcast, as well as any recommended resources. Then, you can share with people who know and love you, and little by little, person by person, we can broaden the narrative.
