RE-VAMPED with Juliet Landau

The podcast lacks structure. She just skipped the rest of season 1 entirely. I understand it’s a difficult season to get through. But she should have just watched them all and made a general commentary on it. The person she does the podcast with should do the breakdown either scene by scene or storyline by storyline. Julia could highlight the moments/lines she liked and add any other fun tidbits. Having Drusilla as part of the conversation is just awkward. I like the idea of Drusilla though so she should come in at the end or the beginning and just give a short monologue on her character takes of the episode. I preferred the original name and design as well. I hope they get their footing. Because 2 podcasts per episode is unnecessary.

It pains me to write this, as I want to support someone whose work has meant so much to me, but this podcast is unbearable. I was so excited when it was announced, as she was the first Buffy alumni to create a rewatch podcast. The first iteration had two cohosts that were a really odd choice. Their input was always so off the wall and obsessed over references that the average person would have no understanding of. It was just a rambling mess. Now the format has changed, and it’s not any better. The new cohost adds nothing to the podcast and she now has the ongoing bit of adding “Dru” into each episode. This means each episode is line by line scripted and cringy. I just excitedly listened to School Hard, and had to stop because every three words Juliet would switch and pretend to be Dru. It was completely unlistenable. The fans want to hear your actual unfettered thoughts on the episode, your memories, and the behind the scenes stories. We do not need these bits, or even a cohost. Keep the Drusilla stuff to 1 segment. Similar to what Charisma has done on her podcast.

Embarrassingly bad

I love this podcast! Juliet is so funny and I enjoy listening while I’m doing chores or even working out. It is so much fun and entertaining! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
