Storytelling was engaging but the ending…No Spoilers

I thought the storytelling was engaging. It was like a high stakes game of table tennis with the back and forth of who might have done it - but the ending left me frustrated. I gave it four stars because I was looking for a good story to listen to on my morning walks and this delivered, but I subtracted a star because for me, it really fell flat at the end - from the new outlandish, un-researched theories and “happenings” with Clinton, to the open-endedness and the attempt at a cliffhanger - I was a little disappointed. I wish they would have waited until June 2025 to release this so we could have some closure on at least one aspect of Dia’s story. If there’s a follow up podcast - I would consider listening to hear Lucy’s take on the ending - but I’d Google what happened first to make sure it won’t be another open ended story.

Lucy has a lovely voice, but this podcast is a waste of time. There’s nothing close to a resolution and there seems very little possibility of one given the ineptitude of basically everyone involved in attempting to solve this case. Incredibly frustrating. I did not care about any of these people. Everyone seems completely self centered & self serving. I am so sorry for whatever happened to Dia, truly. I do not think I would have liked her either. Sadly too, Lucy frustrated me too. So many times we hear about what she tried to do without success. Seemingly no one but Harper wanted to talk to her at length. I wonder if this was some experiment for Pushkin because it isn’t a good listen.

Only on episode 3 but the show host seems awfully biased which kinda ruins the story. What's the point if we can tell you believe Clinton and don't believe Harper? Try to hide your favoritism a bit better.

The dateline episode on this case is honestly more interesting and takes less time. Giving time to Harper to just be a blowhard isn’t very valuable. The host spends a lot of time unraveling Harper’s lies. He is a liar and his alibi is not even a real as it’s not like anyone saw him mowing the meadow anyway??? Crazy stuff. The host just gets gaslit by him the whole time lol. Also no disrespect to British people but the way she pronounced Spanish place names was painful.
