Irish Breakdown Really Breaks Down The Irish
The podcast put together by Bryan and Vince is unique because they really know the nuts and bolts of football, break down film and explain every aspect of the game. They will, for example, explain what an RPO is, show examples and explain why the Irish need to include them in their offense. They actually listen to the responses of their audience, take them seriously and respond to their concerns. They are also very forthright in expressing their opinions, even if they are critical of Notre Dame. If you listen to only one podcast about Notre Dame football or college football in general Irish Breakdown should be the one.
Awesome ND Info
Because Bryan and Vince have been both players AND coaches, their breakdowns far exceed the normal “reporter” stuff. Bryan, with his extensive coaching and playing experiences at high levels, adds significant insight and information. I love that he breaks down film on his own and has a very good sense of the “ratings game”. I especially love watching Irish Breakdown on YouTube and try very hard to never miss these shows. Thanks to that, I feel that I am very deeply and accurately informed on ND football. Thanks guys!
Bryan is the best ND podcaster, period
I have to add this - I’m so sorry cause I love Vince, but Vince you are making the show unlistenable. I used to love this show - I wince and have to turn it off now - stop interrupting Bryan, Vince!!!!! Stop saying “yes, yep, no doubt, no question” while Bryan talks - let him talk, then you talk. It’s not rocket science.
Listen to any podcast - I listen to 40 of them, one person talks at once. Please please please fix this - I don’t want to be mean but I can’t listen anymore and it’s heartbreaking cause all I hear is you saying “yap, uh huh, yes, yes!!!, sure, yeah!!” the whole time and then making one sentence points in 3 paragraphs - this is terrible, but at least not unlistenable.
Bryan is incredible. Always honest, but with a slant towards positive and knows the game like no other podcaster I have ever heard. He works for the fans, not shills for the coaches, but he’s professional and he’s measured in his thoughts. He’s an absolute revelation to a lifelong Notre dame fan. Other podcasters attack him because they can’t speak as intelligently about the game as he can - I’ve listened to all of them and they all just repeat the same lines, they don’t know any more then you do about football. But the Irish Breakdown guys DO - listening to them will make you a smarter fan and will make the game more fun to watch. They’ll show you the game inside the game that the casual fan never sees. I LOVE the work you guys do - thanks for making my weeks and months between seasons great! RangerNick
