    Welcome to Graduation. Good Morning!

    This week on ISD, we kick it off by saluting Megan Thee Stallion on finishing school with her bachelors degree in science and health administration. Per People magazine, she said “I want to get my degree because I really want my mom to be proud.” From the “Check it out” segment, we dive into an article written by the Sun-Times about contaminants being found in dispensary weed, and a recent attempt to pass a bill that would make unvaccinated people pay for their medical bills if they catch covid. Musically, we cover Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudis upcoming albums, Rick Ross and EST Gee. For the misc: we talk about the resurgence of COVID and Kanye and drake. Thank you!     Greatness

    This week on ISD, we jump right in giving our birthday wishes to Jay Z while also recognizing and honoring the late great Fred Hampton. For those who don’t know, Hampton was the leader of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther party. Recently, their is a movie that describes his life in detail called Judas and the Black Messiah. The movie does a great job depicting his life from his powerful journey of empowerment through Chicago, all the way up until his tragic murder at the hands of the government. He founded the Rainbow Coalition: a political party that broke down borders between race and strived for social change. Being only 21 at the time of his death, One of Hamptons most remarkable feats was the sheer amount of things he was able to accomplish. Musically, we dive in talking about Kaytranada, Isiah Rashad, Project Pat, Kanye west, Jay Z and more! From that point we dive into a conversation about capitalism, and we rap up with the BULLS!!!!     RIP Young Dolph

    This week on ISD, we start off by showing our respect the late great Young Dolph! Dolph was a extremely successful rap artist who is know for his journey on the independent path. Having turned down numerous record deals, including one that offered $22 million, Dolph achieved extreme success in his career by not only dropping quality music on a consistent basis, but by being and kind and generous person. Dolph was known to show more love for his fans than the average rapper. Earlier this year, Dolph gave away a $400,000, custom Lamborghini to a lucky fan. When the fan turned around and sold it, Dolph showed all the support in the world by commenting “GET PAID”. Beyond just the flashy items, Dolph is know for his charitable work. Dolph hosted a annual Turkey drive for his home city of Memphis and also ran a campaign with his wife to increase survival rate for black men with his wife, Mia Jaye.     Hangover Boy

    This week on ISD, we dive in right away to talk about Devonn's hangover cause he bought off more than he could chew. After that, we highlighted a new black owned app called Anjel Tech. Angel Tech is an app that was made to aide in the ongoing crisis regarding missing black people and those who have been victims to racial incidents.  In light of the recent incidents at Astro world, we took the time to read off a list of tips for staying safe when your at concerts.  For the Jukebox: We talked about Wale's new album, Folarin II... cause thats how good it is.  To wrap up, we talked about Aaron Rodgers, Kanye West, Astroworld and Kyle Rittenhouse.  In School Detention is a weekly podcast  hosted by Devonn Overstreet and Pierce Anderson.  We believe in the 3 E’s.     This week on ISD, the guys kick it off talking about Devonns first time DJ'ng for a crowd.     Beyond Boundaries

    This week on ISD, as normal we provide you guys with a wide variety of topics. With Devonn taking a solo trip to Denver, the guys made an effort to highlight the power of taking self trips. Make sure to always be aware of your surroundings, use GPS, pack batteries and bring extra cash!  For the "Check it out segment", we made an effort to highlight the power of Bandcamp and putting money directly in the artist pocket.  Musically, we break down Young Thugs new album, Punk. The guys then do a deep dive on Thugs journey as an artist, his impact on rap and how important it is to push your boundaries.
