    66 Mike Read Preacher

    66 Mike Read Preacher

Description: Look I know we usually get cute with the episode titles and descriptions, but after years of badgering Mike finally read Preacher and we're all very excited about it. So naturally we talk about other stuff for like 20 minutes first. Other stuff like: Ed is mad at some birds (and also worried about some other birds). There's also a whole squirrel situation. Mike tries Fireworks Oreos, tries (and fails) to talk about eating mixed nuts without giggling, and reminisces about workplace cashew theft. Peanuts are mostly b******t. Along with Preacher we discuss Logan, the sort of origins of Secret Empire as best as Mike can remember them, Black Bolt, Squirrel Girl, and Kingpin. Listen to it with your ears.

An Amazingly Entertaining Discussion of the Most Inane Topics

Mike and Ed talk about comics. They don’t necessarily review the latest comics. They talk about what they love about comics, past and present. And stuff related to comics, like movies and television. And less well known candy, and sometimes ice cream. And also Mike’s Mr. T collection.

Seriously this show would normally be a discussion of the most inane topics, but Ed and Mike make it so funny and charming I can’t stop listening.

I pity the fool that doesn’t listen to Issues!

I look forward to this podcast each week. The subject matter is always great and I love the relationship/dynamic of the hosts. Total comic geekery at its finest. Any fan of comics, pop culture and comedic genius needs to add this to their subscription list. Put it to you this way, if you don’t fall in love with Mike’s name drops, smokers cough, endless knowledge of Mr. T and Supernatural piled on top of Ed’s dry and much needed elitist and refreshing banter, you are a boring human being and should turn in your Marvel Unlimited membership card. Haha, basically I’m telling you I’m a fan and you should be too! But do yourself a favor and listen from episode one up until now because us elitist fans will eat you alive like Mike and Ed eat Its-Its!!!!!

Great for new readers

I just got into comic books a few months ago, so I looked for comic-related podcasts to supplement my reading. I'm so glad I found Issues. Ed and Mike are incredibly welcoming to new listeners, funny, and have excellent taste. My comic book reading list expands every time I listen to an episode.
