    In today's episode Melinda Karaca (your host) will be talking to Kin Cheung Adrian Yan. Kin Cheung Adrian Yan is a teacher and researcher at The Education University of Hong Kong. Besides his research interests in Citizenship education, comparative education, sociology of education he has completed a PHD in Citizenship Education at University College of London in the UK. Frederik De Laere is a lecturer in geography and international coordinator in Howest School of Education. eTwinning ambassador ITE (Initial Teacher Education) and also is a project coordinator Erasmus+ KA2 project DLAB (Digital Learning across Boundaries). also a poet in his free time.     #21 Research about effective classroom management, with Theo Wubbels

    In today's episode Melinda Karaca (your host) will be talking to Theo Wubbels. Theo Wubbels received his masters degree in Physics in 1974 from Utrecht University and his PhD in Education in 1984. He was a physics teacher and school principal in a Montessori High school from 1973-1978 and then moved to Utrecht University, first as a curriculum developer for physics in secondary education (1978-1980) and then as an assistant professor in teacher education (1979-1986). As a full professor in Education from 1991 onwards he became Dean of the Institute of Education (1994-2002) and then moved to the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences, first as Head of the Departmenet of Education and then as Associate Dean for Academic affairs (2004 - 2013) and Dean of the Graduate School (2007-2013). From 2012 until 2015 he was Admissions Dean of Utrecht University His main research interests developed in his career from the pedagogy of physics education, via problems and supervision of beginning teachers and teaching and learning in higher education to studies of learning environments and especially interpersonal relationships in education. His most recent work focuses on multicultural classes, assessment of teacher interpersonal behavior, teacher learning and teacher cognitions about interpersonal relationships. Georgios Giannakopoulos has completed his bachelors degree in social policiy and gained a second bachelors degree in Educational competency. Finally, he has gained a masters degree in social policy and social interventions. Elizabeth Coleman is an accomplished EFL educator and CPD supervisor, known for her commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments that empower both students and teachers. With an LL.M. in Gender, Sexuality, and Human Rights, and a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, she applies a critical, intersectional approach to her teaching. Coleman has developed specialized courses, including English for Specific Purposes (ESP) for medical and nursing students, and TOEFL preparation classes. Additionally she is also a sought-after speaker, having presented at international conferences on topics such as trauma-informed teaching and creating more inclusive, less heteronormative language classrooms. She has travelled to over 50 countries and is passionate about travelling and teaching. She has been the chairperson of Run-EU, a European alliance that secures the sustainable economic, social, cultural and environmental progress of Europe to decrease the regional disparities in the EU. In this episode Anastasia will talk about her life as an international student in The Netherlands and will give her advice upon this.
