Our biggest take away from the episode is to have open communication with parents/families that you work with to remind them that you are a person as well!     Leanna Vollintine: Creating a Fun and Functional Environment for Clients & Caregivers

    Today we sit down with Leanna Vollintine! We discussed almost everything, so we made two episodes out of it :) Part One is all about building rapport with families and clients!     Embracing the Broad Field of Speech Language Pathology

    Speech pathology is as broad of a field as you can imagine! It can feel a bit big at times, but sit down to hear what this career path is and why you should choose it. The biggest benefit of joining is the flexibility to work in many settings and with many populations as well as improve people's communication and overall quality of life. We also talk about advocating and how to make your voice heard to improve treatment and the field as a whole.
