Mormon Wives: Taylor Frankie Paul Report, Mikayla’s Donation & Olivia Jade

Send us Fan Mail More Secret Lives of Mormon Wives news: TMZ reports allegations about Taylor Frankie Paul’s custody cases, but the drug-test results and court order have not been made public. I separate that report from what the cast has said. Mikayla Matthews explains why she stepped away from Season 6 and says she plans to donate the compensation she would have earned from the remaining filming to the National Children’s Alliance. Layla Taylor also shares where her friendship with Taylor stands. Patrick Clancy is set to speak on 60 Minutes this Sunday. I’ll watch the full interview before weighing in next week. In Quick Yaps: Olivia Jade stars in Reformation’s college-themed campaign; Miley has a new album and music video; Tom Cruise gets a football lesson from Taylor Swift; Prince Harry appears at an Invictus event; Kim Kardashian shares a health update; and Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi welcome a son. Then I’m checking in on Ted Lasso. The women’s team finally gets a moment to challenge Ted’s BELIEVE sign—and I have thoughts about everything leading up to it. What did you make of the Olivia Jade campaign or this week’s Ted Lasso? Email me at itsallyappeningpod@gmail.com. Follow It’s All Yappening on Apple Podcasts, and go forth and yapp responsibly. Mormon Wives: Mikayla Matthews Explains Her Exit + DWTS & Ed Sheeran Tour Fallout

Send us Fan Mail Mikayla Matthews has clarified why she stopped filming The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. She says she agreed to Season 6 on the condition that a certain cast member would not return. When she learned that person was coming back, she stepped away. Mikayla did not name Taylor Frankie Paul in that statement, but People reports Taylor was invited back. I break down what Mikayla actually confirmed. Plus, the women hit the Dancing With the Stars ballroom: Maura Higgins impresses, Sarah Jane Nader goes home, and Julia Stiles gets the last word on Andy Cohen’s critique. Macklemore’s removal from Ed Sheeran’s tour prompts four supporting acts to withdraw. In Quick Yaps: Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer has a new memoir—and Buckingham Palace has responded to one of his claims; Melissa McCarthy plays Patsy Ramsey in an upcoming Netflix limited series; Jack Antonoff jokes about a badly timed song request; Kandi Burruss responds to Todd Tucker; and Lena Dunham welcomes a daughter. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is back. I’m watching the premiere today and will report back tomorrow. Have a thought, correction or story I should cover? Taylor Swift’s Emmys Easter Eggs + DWTS Voting Chaos & SLOMW Husband Eliminated!

Send us Fan Mail Did Taylor Swift tease her next Taylor’s Version at the 2026 Emmys? She slipped a string of clues into a Law & Order: SVU sketch, and the show’s producers confirmed that Taylor asked for Easter eggs to be included. I decode the clues and explain why I think her rerecorded debut album could be next—while keeping my Swiftie theory separate from an actual announcement. Plus, Dancing With the Stars threw out its online votes after a premiere-night system crash, and Mormon Wives’ Conner Leavitt became the first contestant eliminated. In Quick Yaps: Kim Kardashian receives the symbolic one euro she requested in her Paris robbery case; female athletes criticize Sydney Sweeney’s Novig sports ad as reports say she has lost more than 200,000 Instagram followers; and Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski confirm their separation after nine years of marriage. Mikayla Matthews Quits Mormon Wives + 2026 Emmys & Hayden Panettiere Update

Send us Fan Mail Mikayla Matthews is leaving The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives after saying she can no longer participate in—or profit from—content that conflicts with her morals. I break down what Mikayla actually said, why her announcement appears connected to Taylor Frankie Paul’s continued involvement and what her departure means for the future of MomTok. Plus, the 2026 Emmys belonged to Widow’s Bay—and as someone who watched and loved it, I feel completely vindicated. Matthew Rhys and Jean Smart make history, The Pitt wins Outstanding Drama Series again, Rhea Seehorn finally gets her Emmy and Michael J. Fox receives a moving standing ovation. Then, new reporting says the investigation into Hayden Panettiere’s death now stretches from South Carolina to Los Angeles, with the DEA reportedly tracing a suspected fentanyl-containing pill. Her official cause and manner of death remain pending. Also yappening: Hollywood remembers legendary costume designer Bob Mackie; Harry and Meghan change their children’s school over security logistics; Taylor Swift chooses Arrowhead over the Emmys; and the planned London revival of Sunday in the Park With George is cancelled after Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey withdraw. BONUS Deep Dive: Taylor Frankie Paul, Dakota, SLOMW Season 5 & Why It Can Be So Hard to Leave

Send us Fan Mail Hulu dropped all five episodes of Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and after watching the entire season, there was one story I couldn’t stop thinking about: Taylor Frankie Paul. In this deep dive, I’m going all the way back through Taylor’s story, from her marriage to Tate Paul and the rise of MomTok to the soft-swinging scandal that blew up TikTok, her relationship with Dakota Mortensen, the 2023 domestic-violence incident, motherhood, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, her unaired season of The Bachelorette, and the shocking Season 5 revelation that she returned home engaged to another man and almost immediately found herself back with Dakota. But this episode isn’t about asking, “What is wrong with Taylor?” It’s about asking a much more complicated question: Why can it be so difficult to leave a destructive relationship, even when you know it’s hurting you? I also look carefully at the concept commonly called “reactive abuse,” what domestic-violence experts actually say about reactive responses and power and control, and why acknowledging context does not mean excusing violent behavior. Plus: Where is Taylor now? Where is Dakota? Who is Dakota dating? And after that surprisingly short five-episode season, what happens next for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives? Content warning: This episode discusses domestic violence, physical violence, mental health and an incident involving a child who was present during a violent altercation. No audio of the child is played. Prince Harry’s U.K. Engagements, Nirvana’s VMA Honor & Remembering 9/11

Send us Fan Mail Today marks 25 years since September 11th. I’m sharing my memories of that morning in Los Angeles—including the terrifying hours when my family couldn’t reach my dad, who was a pilot flying out of the New York–New Jersey area—and remembering the nearly 3,000 people whose lives were taken. I’m also looking back at the extraordinary responsibility Reese Witherspoon carried when she hosted the first Saturday Night Live episode broadcast after the attacks. Then, Prince Harry has confirmed his first public engagements in the United Kingdom since returning with Meghan and their children. I explain why these appearances are significant—and why they do not represent a return to duties as a working royal. Also yappening: Nirvana will receive MTV’s Video Vanguard Award; Snoop Dogg will host the 2026 VMAs; and Obsession star Inde Navarrette will make her SNL hosting debut on Halloween with musical guest Gracie Abrams. Jennifer Lawrence’s First Instagram Post + Elizabeth Holmes and Gwyneth on Brad Pitt

Send us Fan Mail Jennifer Lawrence has officially posted on Instagram! Minutes after joining as @jlaw, the Oscar winner dropped her first video—and the internet is already reacting to the gloriously self-deprecating return of peak JLaw. Then, Gwyneth Paltrow revisits her engagement to Brad Pitt, the shame she felt when their very public relationship ended and the accidental creation of Goop’s infamous “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle. I’m also explaining why everyone is freaking out about You Can See Everything, Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim’s secret, nearly three-hour Elizabeth Holmes documentary. The filmmakers began following Holmes 34 days before she reported to prison—and three years later, even Nathan Fielder cannot fully explain what he experienced. Plus, the Spice Girls finally reveal their mysterious 30th-anniversary announcement. It isn’t the reunion tour we attempted to manifest, but previously unreleased demos are officially coming. In Quick Yaps: Billy Joel reveals he underwent brain surgery; Henry Winkler discusses his decades-long tension with Tom Hanks; Rick Springfield shares a disturbing story from the Vietnam War; Harry Styles faces criticism over an unfortunately timed concert-ticket design; Justin and Hailey Bieber share a glimpse of family life; Carly Rae Jepsen reveals her son’s Heated Rivalry-inspired name; and Lady Gaga may—or may not—have secretly gotten married. Finally, I’m caught up on Ted Lasso and have identified why the new season feels strangely disjointed.
