Life can be wild. It can throw the most unexpected plot twists your way, and it’s how you navigate them that shapes what comes next. I’m Briony. A newly single 38 year old mum of three little ones, navigating 50/50 parenting, a late ADHD diagnosis, and the absolute chaos of dating again… which I’m quickly realising is basically a full-blown social experiment. While rebuilding my newly found (and honestly, pretty fabulous) life, I’m constantly being asked about the wild stories I seem to attract. So what better way to share them than in a podcast. This is for all the stories — the messy ones, the funny ones, the unbelievable ones, the how did I get here? ones.     Disappearing Act

    Imagine this; You meet someone, you fall in love, you marry them, you have children with them, you build a life together. And then one day…They disappear. With no warning, no explanation. And as police, friends and family start digging into who this person actually was, to figure out what the hell happened, they discover something bizarre. The man never legally existed at all. Well at least that man with that name and that life you thought you knew. I mean, Fake name. Fake identity. Fake past. Everything was built on an alias. Even the marriage certificate and his name on the children’s birth certificates.

    The Aftermath

    In this episode I delve into what happened after I found out my husband had been cheating and was planning on leaving me for someone else. This was the turning point in my life. It was a moment in time where I could have easily played the victim for the rest of my life, (as I literally was a victim), or I could think big picture, move past that and think like a survivor, a warrior and a strong, independent, self-sufficient woman, the person I wanted to be.

    This episode is the story behind everything. The story that I always get asked about, that leaves people in a state of absolute shock. This is a story about the relationship I didn’t expect, the feelings that grew faster than I planned, and the slow realisation that something was off. I was manipulated into giving him a second chance, I married him and had 3 kids with him until years later he did the unforgivable.
