    For the men

    I've found distilling Human Design into an elevator pitch to be very difficult, especially as what I love best about it is the incredible depths of advanced mechanics. And, I've got such a bias toward metaphysics, spiritualism, magic, and mysticism that my language inevitably starts from the woo-woo field. I was asked by a man what Human Design is, and embarrassingly, I drew such a blank. I thought of a way to describe it later that day. So, for those who can be helped by the knowledge without the mystical framework ... this one's for you.

    Breaking the Bond

    You hear over and over about 3rd Line Martyrs in Human Design and how they are made for making and breaking bonds. My experience of that has been a little different than the way it's taught. I've found that I can't make it break...no matter how much I may want a situation or myself to change, the bond breaks through me not by me (if that makes any sense). I can finally notice that tiny second when I let go, but I never know how or why exactly. I just witness it. That's what this post is about. That ineffable moment when I let go and how I place that in the larger context of a spiritual journey.

    Buckle up, buttercup! This is a detailed one on how I've nearly relapsed back into anorexia, how my Integration design finally got hijacked, and how I've been processing a lot of change. I talk about my chart in the physiological context of how potential eating disorders can manifest as well as what it's like to look for your door when life gets rough.     The underbelly of Human Design

    I could just as easily have called this the underbelly of spirituality. I wrote this to process my feelings over an experience. And, it's a shout-out to all of those who feel isolated for not having their spiritual journey be filled with butterflies and fairies. Sometimes it's really hard. Sometimes it's lonely. Sometimes it's really scary to let go of so much control. I know it's worth it, though. There's nothing quite like tapping into the deep heart of your personal truth and living from that empowered, authentic place. Give yourself grace and compassion. You're not alone in this.

    Filling my own shoes

    It's easy to look shiny and perfect on the surface. We all love the reflection from that glossy facade. But, my experience has shown me that wearing a mask only makes me feel worse. I've been confronting my shadow on spiritual leadership and how I think I'm supposed to look. It's been an interesting struggle to face down my demons in this area, to realize that even though I've been recovered from anorexia for a decade, I still think I'll only be loved and worthy if I'm perfect. Holding space in Sunday Circle prompted me to share what I've been going through. I hope you find something that resonates and lets you know you're not alone.
