Welcome to The Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes Podcast - a show devoted to revisiting and honoring the world's greatest portrayal of the world's greatest detective. From 1984 to 1994, Granada Television produced what is arguably the best (and most complete) depiction of the legendary detective’s Adventures, Memoirs, Case-Books and many Returns. Spanning 36 episodes and 5 movies, producer Michael Cox created a Sherlockian experience like no other. This podcast will examine that timeless series with a specific eye on Jeremy Brett in the role he was destined to immortalize.

    In 1985, Gary Leach sat down with Jeremy Brett for an impromptu interview on the Baker Street set.  What followed was an insightful conversation on wide-ranging topics including the actor's background and training, performance style, thoughts on playing the Great Detective, and his hopes and dreams for the future.  A sincere thanks to Gary for sharing this previously unreleased treasure with us and our listeners. Gary was also the original designer of the Secret of Sherlock Holmes tee-shirts which were only available at the Wyndham's Theater from 1988 to 1989 - but in collaboration with our podcast, these shirts have received a new run and are currently available exclusively at our website, while supplies last.
