This is a much needed teaching today in the Church. Every believer is a leader and to effectively reach the world, we must be like Jesus. His leadership was relational, not hierarchical like the worldly, organizational leadership style that too many spiritual leaders have conformed to. This episode highlighted how Jesus led by example through relationship. He emphasized building the Kingdom of God, not human empires. Godly leaders must empower everybody to go out and do what God put in their heart to do and then support them as they go forth. Jesus called all of His people to preach the gospel, heal the sick, cast out devils, love our neighbors, care for the poor, and rebuild families and cities. Dr Simmons has lived what he teaches and ministers with a fathers heart to see God’s people rise up to be and do what God destined for them.
