Hello and welcome to the My 1-2-3 Cents Podcast! This show was created in 2014, four years after the My 1-2-3 Cents brand was officially born in blog and vlog form.
On this show, host Kevin Hunsperger discusses the world of pro wrestling from the indy scene to AEW to WWE and more.
Show themes include Movie Mania with cohost Chad Smart, 2 is Greater than 1 with cohost Tyler ‘Heath’ Hatton, The Interview with various guests in the world of wrestling, and Confessions of An Indy Ring Announcer, which are tales from Kevin’s time as an announcer for Stride Pro Wrestling and All American Pro Wrestling.

My 1-2-3 Cents Episode 494: Kerry Wins The Gold
Growing up, Kerry Von Erich was my favorite wrestler. For nostalgia purposes, he’s still on my Mount Rushmore, some 30+ years after his death.
This week on the podcast, I chatted with ‘Pondwater’ Dave, also a Von Erich superfan. He was in the crowd the day Kerry beat Ric Flair for the NWA Heavyweight title (May 6, 1984). We chat about that day, wrestling in Texas, the rest of the Von Erichs, and Ric Flair’s Last Match (which Pondwater made the three-count for).

I’m always amazed at the knowledge and information Kevin knows about Professional Wrestling. He very rarely doesn’t know the answer to a question I have.
A great podcast to listen to while driving or at the office. Check it out and support a great guy.
Kevin is extremely boring.
My title is about the nicest thing I can say about this podcast.
Kevin is boring.
Yes, Kevin is a news personality. And his news personality is also his wrestling podcast personality, which isn't a good thing.
Kevin has the same mentality and personality on his podcast as he does while on the air with WSIL, which is a detriment to his podcast.
Don't get me wrong, Kevin is a fantastic guy, and he is awesome at his day job. But his day job doesn't translate well to pro wrestling podcasting.
My God's honest opinion of Kevin on the My 123 Cents podcast is he is sooooooo boring. I've listened to several My 123 Cents podcast episodes, and they've all been extremely boring. Kevin's podcast personality is newscast bland. He absolutely, positively never had a negative opinion about anything. It's 2017, and I've been following Kevin's wrestling fandom since around 2010, and the main thing I've noticed about Kevin is that ANY pro wrestling personality he meets in person he totally falls in love with and becomes their biggest fan. Neville is a perfect example, and there are many others.
Nobody likes to listens to a podcast where EVERYTHING is roses and sunshine. Kevin needs to learn to differentiate his news personality from his wrestling podcast personality. Kevin, it's OKAY to have a negative opinion about things. But he NEVER has a negative opinion about anything at all. I'm not asking the guy to be a negative Nancy, but it would be nice for him to actually HAVE a personality.
This podcast is literally the most boring thing that I go out of my way to listen to, and it's the hosts personality that causes it to be that way.
Sunshine and roses! Yay! That's what everyone wants! They don't want to actually hear personal opinions about things going on in the wrestling business.
I completely understand the hosts motives for behaving the way he does, with what he does for a living. But his podcast is never going to go anywhere if he continues being so vanilla.
