Josh Has Autism

This podcast has helped me tremendously in dealing with my autistic stepson. He is an adult and is SO MUCH like Josh, they could be twins. When listening to mother and son discuss issues, it helps me to see the same issues and how to resolve them in my house as well. It also gives me hope that my stepson can be independent someday as well.

As a speech therapist who never got to see those children with autism beyond school aged, this podcast has been such a treat to listen and hear ASD adult perspectives! The topics are applicable and the love shared is palpable.

Thank you so much for this show. I started listening last year after my four year old son was diagnosed and it’s given me so much hope for his future. At the time he was limited verbally and when I heard Josh speak I couldn’t believe he had autism and that an autistic person could ever speak like that. My son is speaking in sentences now and growing so much every day. I’ve cried and laughed with this show and it’s so amazing to have this show to connect with. My two year old daughter is now showing symptoms and it’s been difficult. I now know to take it a day at a time and I have hope. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for stumbling upon this podcast.
