Good morning ladies and gentleman, welcome to bbc news with me umi masviroh who is ready to accompany your day. The theme of our news this morning, is still related to covid with the title "Long Covid in children 'nowhere near scale feared". Let's move to the news, It's BBC....!!!
The risk of "long Covid" in children is much lower than many had feared, leading child health experts have said. After the world's biggest study into the issue, the researchers, led by University College London, said they were "reassured". They surveyed 11- to 17-year-olds testing positive for coronavirus in England between September and March. The research suggests somewhere between 2% and 14% still had symptoms caused by Covid 15 weeks later.
Sir Terence said he was already "reassured" suggestions, at the height of the pandemic, that half of children could develop long Covid cases were wrong. "It is nowhere near what people thought in the worst-case scenario". Although, he said, the numbers were still "not trivial" and the issue needed to be taken seriously. Most likely to report persistent symptoms were older girls who already had poorer physical and mental health. Those struggling emotionally and mentally could be more attuned to even minor physical illnesses, the researchers said, and a positive coronavirus test could help trigger that. Of all the children in the study, 40% reported feeling sad, worried or unhappy. And the researchers said it was clear the pandemic had a damaging effect on young people because of: the closure of schools, not seeing their friends, concern about the risk from the virus. This showed how important it was to get "back to normal" and have schools open, Dr Whittaker added.
That's all from me, don't forget to take care of your family's health during the pandemic. See you next time.

    The Princess and The Pea
Once upon a time there was a prince who wanted to marry a princess; but she would have to be a real princess. He travelled all over the world to find one, but nowhere could he get what he wanted. There were princesses enough, but it was difficult to find out whether they were real ones. There was always something about them that was not as it should be. So he came home again and was sad, for he would have liked very much to have a real princess.
One evening a terrible storm came on; there was thunder and lightning, and the rain poured down in torrents. Suddenly a knocking was heard at the city gate, and the old king went to open it.
It was a princess standing out there in front of the gate. But, good gracious! what a sight the rain and the wind had made her look. The water ran down from her hair and clothes; it ran down into the toes of her shoes and out again at the heels. And yet she said that she was a real princess.
“Well, we’ll soon find that out,” thought the old queen. But she said nothing, went into the bed-room, took all the bedding off the bedstead, and laid a pea on the bottom; then she took twenty mattresses and laid them on the pea, and then twenty eider-down beds on top of the mattresses.
On this the princess had to lie all night. In the morning she was asked how she had slept.
“Oh, very badly!” said she. “I have scarcely closed my eyes all night. Heaven only knows what was in the bed, but I was lying on something hard, so that I am black and blue all over my body. It’s horrible!”
Now they knew that she was a real princess because she had felt the pea right through the twenty mattresses and the twenty eider-down beds.
Nobody but a real princess could be as sensitive as that.
So the prince took her for his wife, for now he knew that he had a real princess; and the pea was put in the museum, where it may still be seen, if no one has stolen it.

    ANYMORE – SOMI
I wanna be your lover (lover)
Don't wanna be your friend (friend)
Wish we could be forever (ever)
But I know this ain't it
For now I'll be stuck in this beautiful nightmare
'Til you come back, I'll be standing right here
Do I ever cross your mind?
You used to be something like a beautiful daisy
But now you'rе like a rose with your thorns, how you hurt me
Do I еver cross your mind anymore?

    MONEY – LISA
    Dollar bills, dollar bills
Watch it falling for me, I love the way that feels
    Dollar bills, dollar bills
Keep on falling for me, I love the way it feels
I came here to drop some money, dropping all my money
Drop some money, all this bread so yummy, yeah
Twerking, twerking when I buy the things I like
Dollar, dollars dropping on my ass tonight
Everyone silent, listen to my money talk
    Spend how I like it
Yeah, everyone know what I mean, mean
When they see green, when they see green, that mean go
Give me what the hell I want
Give me what the hell I want. Experience : After I listened to these two songs, I got a new vocab which I think is still a bit foreign in my mind. After knowing the meaning of the vocab that I didn't know before, I became more immersed in singing it. Besides that, I also look for other songs that have similar words in the lyrics of the song. After I practice it in my daily life, I feel so impressed and get new things too for sure. I also became more excited to learn English through songs. I also like both songs, because they fit my musical taste very well. It makes me not easily bored because in addition to learning the language, I also make it as refreshing. It's great to get a new experience from here. I really like English, especially songs in English.

Austria back in lockdown despite protests - BBC News
Austria has returned to a full national lockdown as protests against new restrictions aimed at curbing Covid-19 infections spread across Europe. From midnight, Austrians have been asked to work from home and non-essential shops have closed.New restrictions have sparked protests throughout Europe. People clashed with police in the Netherlands and Belgium. Infection rates have risen sharply on the continent, prompting warnings from the World Health Organization (WHO).
On Saturday WHO regional director Dr Hans Kluge told the BBC that unless measures were tightened across Europe - such as on vaccines, wearing masks and with Covid passes for venues - half a million more deaths could be recorded by next spring. Last week Austria became the first European country to make Covid vaccination a legal requirement, with the law due to take effect in February. Politicians in neighbouring Germany are debating similar measures as intensive care units there fill up and case numbers hit fresh records.

    The Lion and the Mouse
A lion was once sleeping in the jungle when a mouse started running up and down his body just for fun. This disturbed the lion’s sleep, and he woke up quite angry. He was about to eat the mouse when the mouse desperately requested the lion to set him free. “I promise you, I will be of great help to you someday if you save me.” The lion laughed at the mouse’s confidence and let him go.
One day, a few hunters came into the forest and took the lion with them. They tied him up against a tree. The lion was struggling to get out and started to whimper. Soon, the mouse walked past and noticed the lion in trouble. Quickly, he ran and gnawed on the ropes to set the lion free. Both of them sped off into the jungle. Little Red Riding Hood

Once, there lived a little girl who liked to wear a red riding cloak, so everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her mother asked her to deliver a basket of goodies to her grandma’s house. Before leaving, her mother said, “Go straight to Grandma’s house. Don’t dawdle along the way and don’t talk to a stranger!” She nodded and said, “Don’t worry, mom. I’ll be careful.”

On her way, she met a big hungry wolf that asked, “Where are you going, little girl?” She replied, “I want to visit my grandma, Mr. Wolf!” Knowing it, the wolf then quickly run to Grandmother’s house. He came there much before Little Red Riding Hood and knocked on the door. When Grandma opened the door, he tied and locked her up in the cupboard. The wicked wolf then disguised himself as the Grandma by wearing her clothes. He lay on her bed, waiting for Little Red Riding Hood.

When Little Red Riding Hood reached her grandmother house, she found the door was unlocked and went inside to her Grandma’s bedroom. “Oh my, what big ears you have, Grandma!” she said in surprise. “The better to hear you with, my dear,” replied the wolf. “Oh my, what big eyes you also have, Grandma!” said her again. “The better to see you with, my dear,” replied the wolf. “And what big teeth you have, Grandma!” she said again. “The better to eat you with!” growled the wolf pouncing on her. She could avoid the wolf and started to scream loudly.

Hearing the scream, a good woodsman in the forest came running to the house quickly. He rescued Little Red Riding Hood by beating the wolf. He then got Grandma out of the cupboard. Grandma immediately hugged her little granddaughter and thanked the woodsman for saving them. At last, the wolf ran away into the forest never to be seen again Little Red Riding Hood had learnt some new lessons that she should obey her parent and never spoke to strangers ever again.

The migrant crisis on the border between Poland and Belarus is deepening, with the Polish prime minister accusing Russian President Putin of "masterminding" the impasse.
The European Union has threatened to impose new sanctions on Belarus for allegedly sending migrants from the Middle East across its borders into the European Union.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has appealed to Russian President Putin, an ally of Belarus, to stop what she calls the inhumane exploitation of migrants.

New species of dinosaur with ‘unusually large nose’ discovered - BBC News
A new species of dinosaur with a big nose has been discovered on the British Isle of Wight.
Retired doctor Jeremy Lockwood wants to prove that the two most common dinosaurs on the island aren't the only ones that have been there.
He goes through the old dinosaur bone storage box and when he puts the skulls together, realizes that they belong to a completely new species - brightstoneus simmondsi.
Dr Lockwood was so sure that there was another species of dinosaur, he decided to search through the Natural History Museum's massive collection of fossils to see what he could find. He explained, "I've seen dinosaur bones that are reportedly from the same species, but I've been baffled as to why they would look so different." After four years of searching through lots of boxes of bones, Dr Lockwood was able to reconstruct the skull of a dinosaur that had been in storage since 1978.
But there was something different about this reconstructed skull that made it stand out from the other fossils in the archive.
