Which is the most romantic of the Batman films? Whose takes aren’t too hot, aren’t too cold, but are just right? And what’s the new behind the scenes goss in the trades? We dish about these questions and more as we watch Season 6, Episode 16 of Family Matters.

Alex Diamond, David Kenny, and John McDaniel heard that the long-running network sitcom Family Matters ends with side character Steve Urkel going to space. And the best way to figure out how that happened - obviously - is to watch the last episode first and make our way backwards through nearly ten years of television.

137: "Ain't Nothin' But An Urkel"

Is this the most fun transformation Urkel has done? Did you ever believe that one guy would come back? And do we miss Step by Step now? Hell no. We’re back to watching Season 6, Episode 17 of Family Matters.

Special Crossover Episode 1: "A Star Is Born"

As if it wasn’t hard enough to keep track of all this shit, try doing it high. We are allegedly trying out Jaleel White’s own Purple Urkle and talking about an episode of television that isn’t Family Matters. Why? Because we’re dumb. But, also, because Urkel’s in it. So lower your expectations, because it’s gonna get silly. We’re watching Season 7, Episode 2 of Step by Step.

    138: "My Uncle The Hero"

How do you wind down before bed? Is this the 90s version of The Three Stooges? And does any of this make sense to anyone? We clip through these questions and more as we watch Season 6, Episode 18 of Family Matters.

Why is this podcast episode disgusting? Who let us talk about the vacuum again? And, for the love of God, when is John coming back? We (barely) get through these questions and more as we talk about Season 6, Episode 19 of Family Matters.

What’s giving Alex the brain rot this week? What 56 year old man is Cyranoing his younger self? And why is Steve the captain of the Abstinence Police? We tumble through these questions and more as we watch Season 6, Episode 20 of Family Matters.

Holy Macanoly!

Somebody call mission control because this show is off the rails. Come for the absurdity of trying to making sense of Family Matters in reverse, stay for the tangents about This Is Us, Die Hard, and The Brave Little Toaster. I laugh so hard while I’m listening to this podcast that I temporarily forget it’s 2020 and everything is terrible.

Fine, you got me.

I’m un-reluctantly in.
