Part 1 of introducing Katie O’Farrell, Ditcheat’s newest recruit. Katie has a teaching degree and has ridden winners for Willie Mullins and Gordon Elliott, and now she has joined Paul to kick start her riding career in Britain. Listen to the first part of her fascinating account of working for Willie, Gordon and Aidan O’Brien, as well as coming back from injury and riding winners with a broken leg. Part 2 will be published on Friday, and will also feature Geoff’s sports round up and Harry’s tip for this weekend. We hope you enjoy Katie’s story as much as we did!

Geoff, who I believe to be the oldest Derham, gives a more eclectic sporting round up, before letting his son discuss the entries Paul Nicholls has coming up. Hopefully we tip another winner this week as well.

Geoff once described himself as Paul Nicholls’ brother-in-law, but then changed his claim to notoriety to ‘Harry Derham’s father’. Geoff must be the most interesting man in insurance, who attends most of the nation’s great sporting events, alongside the likes of Jimmy Anderson and Mick Jagger. Listen to hear what he has to say, while Harry previews the first big jump meeting at Chepstow.
