Another Monty Python Episode: Part One

Another Monty Python Episode: Part One

    Episode Notes
In this first part of a two part episode, I am joined by Frank A. Rincon and Bill McGonnell, from the Half Hour Wasted Podcast, to talk about Monty Python.

There's not a lot of structure here, we tend to be all over the place, but some of the subjects we tackle in this episode are:

How did we discover Monty Python?

Do your friends like Monty Python?

    The Python writing teams.

Frank has never listened to the Monty Python albums so we talk a bit about the albums.

We begin counting down out Top 5 favorite sketches before we lose Frank for a bit and then get back in to it before even more calamity strikes!

All that and much, much more!

Hellokenney ,

My favorite comic book podcast

The host, Steeven, tackles a different subject each week, mostly comic books but also movies and tv occasionally. I believe I discovered it because he did an episode on the fantasy novel “The Blade Itself”.

I read a lot of comics years ago and now will occasionally pick up a trade paperback that sounds interesting. I don’t follow comics, so this podcast is a perfect way for me to learn about new stuff to check out. The episodes aren’t too long, and a wide variety of comics are covered, from golden age first appearances of classic heroes to new stuff coming out now. It’s all over the place in a great way. In many cases he will describe the comic so well that I can get my comic fix without actually ever seeing the comic. Its sort of like an audio version of the comic. I have had many instances where he is talking about a comic that I read decades ago, and I will remember the exact panel he is describing as he goes through the story, because he brings it to life so well.

I have discovered lots of great comics from this podcast like The Wrong Earth and Murder Falcon, and look forward to each episode. Highly recommended.
