Just Getting By

I look forward to this podcast every week already! I am a young artist fresh out of art school and this world feels bleak. Was it the right decision to spend so much money on school that doesn’t feel like it readied me for more than just being really really introspective? Should I abandon art? What am I even equipped to do? I’m freaking out kind of constantly...but this podcast gives me a sense of support I’m having a hard time finding in my every day life. Jason, John, Marqui, and their guests have the unique perspective of being millennial artists that gives me hope and reminds me that my art will take many forms in my life. The path of an artistic life is not linear nor will it ever be what we expect it to be and I am so grateful to have these voices sharing their journeys, helping me to feel grounded as I move forward in my life as an artist, whatever form that takes.

This is the real deal talk for anyone fighting the artist's fight, or for anyone who knows what it's like to navigate the realm between life, passion, and reality. Which is everyone. Highly reccomend.

As someone who is not in the entertainment industry, I found these conversations to be a fascinating look into the creative process. Moreover, the honest and heart-felt discussions introduced me to artists that I would otherwise have missed. I'm hooked and looking forward to future episodes!
