Just King Things

That occasionally hits themselves in the nuts when they have to rate Uncle Steve’s obsession with so-so Dad-Rock. I like to consider these as a delightful personal pizza from Charles Entertainment Cheese in podcast form for completing a King work. Sometimes even getting a little vindication for working through an almost DNF like [insert your least favorite doorstopper that the subreddit inexplicably loves] Always appreciate their ability to connect the novel to its original time and place in the greater Kingian stream of conciousness!

The hosts of this show have made me finally feel validated in my hatred of Bob Dylan’s music. Also I have learned a lot about Stephen King!

This is a wonderful, mom friendly podcast about the works of Stephen King. I’ve listened gleefully for years, but recently Cameron mentioned that the movie Roadhouse is full of lousy professional wrestlers. Did you miss that Terry Funk is in Roadhouse?!? King of the Texas Deathmatch, star of Barry Blaustein’s Beyond The Mat, a man that had eight retirement matches, a mad genius that helped Mick Foley plan his infamous Hell In A Cell match, a gladiator that bloodied countless matches with Dusty Rhodes, Bruiser Brody, Abdullah The Butcher, and Atsushi Onita?!? Cameron, watch your back, brother!

Longtime reader of Uncle Steve here; my first was The Dark Half back in the late 1900s when I was in middle school. Friends, I have never listened to a podcast that has made me do the “Leonardo DiCaprio pointing at the TV” motion more. Haven’t been doing it as much lately because they’re getting into books I haven’t read yet, but I always appreciate when someone else catches something in the Kingiverse that I thought I was the only one who ever noticed. My only complaint is that we didn’t hear more about how the paprika pickle situation turned out. Keep doing it for Steve!
