Just King Things

It’s like having a fun little async book club where after I finish a book I get to listen to some cool guys talk about it. I have been reading along, with a couple exceptions (I did not read Rage) and am still in the Steve 90s. At present rate, I’ll catch up next year I think, which is a bonkers amount of Steven King to read but here we all are. Definitely deserves 5 stars! Also, every time someone says ‘the part of the show where…’ my brain autofills with veggie tales, so I’m expecting Stevie to come out and sing a silly song at some point.

The beautiful baby floats across the room with their ipad. 3 sitters have mysteriously died. We’re all so proud.

That occasionally hits themselves in the nuts when they have to rate Uncle Steve’s obsession with so-so Dad-Rock. I like to consider these as a delightful personal pizza from Charles Entertainment Cheese in podcast form for completing a King work. Sometimes even getting a little vindication for working through an almost DNF like [insert your least favorite doorstopper that the subreddit inexplicably loves] Always appreciate their ability to connect the novel to its original time and place in the greater Kingian stream of conciousness!

The hosts of this show have made me finally feel validated in my hatred of Bob Dylan’s music. Also I have learned a lot about Stephen King!
