    29. Everything You Need To Know About Chiropractic Care & Navigating Pregnancy/Postpartum Holistically

    29. Everything You Need To Know About Chiropractic Care & Navigating Pregnancy/Postpartum Holistically

Friends! So excited about this episode. I'm interviewing my girl, my chiropractor, my pregnancy mentor Dr. Maggie McInnes from The Wellness Tribe Denver! Dr. Maggie is a vitalistic chiropractor — which  is a practice of chiropractic care that is based on the presence of innate intelligence within the human body and the power of our inner wisdoms to react and adapt to both internal and external stressors. She also specializes in treating prenatal and postpartum women to help mothers prepare for birth, as well as help them heal postpartum (she even adjusts babies)! Not only is this woman so knowledgable and talented at chiropractic care, but she's also so passionate about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. In this episode, Dr. Maggie breaks down the reasons someone might see a chiropractor, the benefits, the science behind it, and what an adjustment looks like, but we also talk about prenatal nutrition, slowing down postpartum, the societal pressures for women to "bounce back," holistic/medical approaches to birthing, and how chiropractic can benefit someone who is pregnant. This episode is JAM packed with knowledge, wisdom, and passion for well-being and I hope you enjoy as much as I did!

    27. Starting "The Nash Gals," Building Businesses, Pregnancy, & Becoming A Single Mom With Amelia Weiss

    27. Starting "The Nash Gals," Building Businesses, Pregnancy, & Becoming A Single Mom With Amelia Weiss

Such a fun episode for you guys this week because Amelia is not only a badass business woman, but she's also been my pregnancy TWIN. I connected with her through a friend of mine living in Nashville after finding out that I was pregnant — turns out Amelia also just found out she was pregnant & was due 2 days after me! Amelia is also the founder of The Nash Gals, which is a women's networking group in Nashville hosting in person and virtual events for young individuals in the community. She also has her own digital marketing/PR company, as well as a hand-dyed baby clothing line. Amelia and I get into all things business and how The Nash Gals began, as well as pregnancy, how we found out we were pregnant, birth plans and so much more. She also gets real about her situation as a soon-to-be single mom and how she's navigating that, which is super inspiring and makes her even MORE of a superwoman. Also — Amelia chose to keep the gender of her baby a surprise, BUT when this episode is live she may or may not have had baby Roman already. Definitely head over to her instagram, give her a follow, and find out if she's had her little babe yet!

    26. IT'S BABY WEEK

    26. IT'S BABY WEEK

First and foremost, Lucas & I want to thank each and every one of you who have reached out, offered support, shown us love and been so kind to us throughout the entirety of this pregnancy. It means the world to us knowing that people care about our journey and what we have to say. Our little baby boy will make his way into the world (assuming I don't go into labor beforehand) on September 17th at 11:30 am via scheduled cesarean and so I figured it's only necessary to have a massive pregnancy debrief with you guys. Lucas and I get real in this episode— we talk about our experience with OBGYN's, a breech baby, ECV's, and exploring our options, as well as discuss informed consent, vaccinations, circumcision, sex life during pregnancy, and share our favorite resources for new parents and young mom's & dad's to be. We seriously get into it all.

Also just a quick disclaimer: I will be stepping back from my youtube and blog for a month to focus on the baby and my role as a mom. I will also be taking a week off of social media (instagram) and a month off of podcasting. HOWEVER, I pre-recorded and batched episodes for you guys throughout the entire month, so there will still be a new episode every week — it's just not going to include relevant and current life updates. I couldn't leave you guys hanging!

Again, thank you all for the love and support. LET'S GO HAVE A BABY.

My morning motivation

I feel like I relate on so many levels with almost everything she talks about. I just recently in January started getting back in to fitness after a long time off. I listened to episode 14 this morning while drinking some before you speak coffee (she always talks about it-seriously get it!!! It’s so good) and if you are someone who has been in a relationship for a while and got comfortable or just starting to get back in the gym I’d definitely give episode 14 a listen. I usually listen to them while getting ready in the morning and she has a bunch with great advice/info. But, 14 spoke volumes this morning! This is definitely one of my favorite podcast to listen to for motivation to be a better me.

Reasons I love Amanda’s Podcast!

Amanda’s podcast is no doubt one of my top favorites! Amanda is raw, honest, inspiring, helpful, and speaks to listeners like she’s having a conversation with a good friend! Her episodes are an easy listen and you will always learn something new!
