Just One More Thing

The hosts are entertaining, understand the ‘70s aesthetic of the show, and bring on a guest star for each show who is usually related to that Columbo episode’s theme. I only wish these guys had another podcast now that they have completed every episode for Columbo.

I wanted to like this podcast because I love Columbo. One of the regular hosts, RJ makes the podcast so frustrating with his constant interruptions and half sentences that go nowhere. I like that they have guests on. The guests are excited to talk about the show, but every time a guest tries to make a point, RJ talks over them. He doesn’t seem to realize that podcasts are for listeners and this one isn’t just a showcase for him to show off how quickly he gets what they’re trying to say and then either agree or disagree with the guest’s point, before the guest finishes talking. I can’t bear to listen to this mess.

The hosts are entertaining and enlightening. If you’re interested in the show, you can enjoy them. The real weakness is when they have a guest who doesn’t even like the show nor even the premise of it. Such a guest distracts from the content.

Would’ve been a great show without the cussing. I adore Columbo so I was excited about this. One thing I love about the show is that it’s wholesome, deals with murder but never raunchy. I liked what they had to say but only made it into the third episode and stopped because of the language.
