Ep. 09 - Uncovering the Facts of Ozempic with Olivia Brown, DNP

Ep. 09 - Uncovering the Facts of Ozempic with Olivia Brown, DNP

In this episode we talk with Olivia Brown, DNP, about the facts on Ozempic. Olivia started her healthcare journey as a registered nurse back in 2014, and she worked as an RN for five years while completing her family practice focused doctor of nursing practice degree. She started her career as a family practice nurse practitioner in 2019 at a small town, rural clinic and hospital where she worked for four years before transitioning to her current primary care role at a tribal clinic. Her day-to-day consists of caring for people through the whole lifespan for both wellness visits, chronic disease management and sick visits.

Our topic in the episode today is one that was a requested topic, and honestly I wasn’t sure that I was going to tackle this topic because I just don’t know a lot about it and there are so many differing opinions out there. I know it’s an important topic though, so today we are talking about Ozempic.

I’ve mostly heard about this from social media and just different celebrities talking about their experience or speaking out about it, but I learned a lot about the many uses of Ozempic and pros and cons that I really just didn’t know through this conversation. I hope you enjoy it!

Ep. 07 - Exploring the Path to Wellness with Lori Steinley

Ep. 07 - Exploring the Path to Wellness with Lori Steinley

In this episode we talk with Lori Steinley. Lori has been in healthcare for 35 years and has served in various roles and specialties. Lori is a physician assistant, physical therapist, naturopath, reflexologist and a nutritional consultant.

A pivotal event in her life was being diagnosed with Lyme disease and associated co-infections over 20 years ago.  At that time the uncertainty and lack of understanding and follow through of treatment led to frustration and seeking alternative avenues of care.  This caused her to seek and learn whole-body treatments to help with a variety of symptoms, including chronic pain and fatigue. One of the most difficult lessons was the ongoing threat of a flare of the disease and how to guard against it by enhancing her immunity and health.

Lori enjoys using her traditional medical background and skills along with her integrative techniques to reach a higher level of health.  She enjoys working with clients to make lifestyle changes along with using interventions and treatments.  She believes it is paying it forward to those who have helped her.
