    In the power of now, Tolle offers a specific method for putting an end to suffering and achieving inner peace, living fully in the present and separating yourself from your mind. The book also teaches you to detach yourself from your “ego” – a part of the mind that seeks control over your thinking and behavior. It argues that by doing so you can learn to accept the present, reduce the amount of pain you experience, improve your relationships and enjoy a better life in general.

    just us... BEING!™ Yoga with Dr. Vasant Basdeo. In this episode, I had the honor of sitting down with Dr Vasant Vijay Basdeo to chat a little bit about yoga and perhaps touch on the topic of yoga in the caribbean, particularly on the twin island of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Basdeo works as a Primary Care Physician at the South West Regional Health Authority and is also a Director at Holistic Medical Center in Trinidad and Tobago. A BEING! with an indefatigable spirit of servitude, he is an active cricketer, poet, playwright, actor, padi certified advanced scuba diver and enjoys charity.  As a family physician and yoga teacher, he incorporates the ancient teachings of yoga with the western practice of medicine.  He intends to conduct more research in yoga and medicine, thereby helping persons to be healthy physically, mentally and spiritually.
