Doggie booties?

I am considering doggie booties for the heat! I try not to take Buni out when it is so hot but there is a little bit of sidewalk to reach where he does his numbers! Do these actually work?
Buni has been trained and boarded by Tara and Lauren since he was a puppy and I am so thankful they are on a podcast because I need reminders about how to connect with my Buni.
