today 11th January 2026 we are at Varanasi/ Kashi . kashi is an iconic place with abundant spiritual and historical significance. every Baratheeya wishes to visit Kashi at least once in his life time as we believe that Shiva Himself chose this place as His abode. and Kashi means shine as the name itself suggests this city shines like a jyoti even the darkness of Pralaya the delusion. we can go on and on about the great Kashi. myself and Abirami are still awestruck by the vibrant face of this place the river Ganga and it's people. this is my humble attempt to bring in the feel to you the listeners. Episode 15 Mahabharatam for kids

Pandu along with his wives Kunti and Madhri stay in the forest among Rishis and sages. Pandu is a worried that he may never have children of his own due to the curse of the rishi. Kunti reveals the secret boon she got from sage Dhurvasa that she may get children through a powerful Mantra taught by the sage. Pandu immediately asks her to use the boon and Kunti begets Yudhisthira through the blessings of Dharma Deva. good omens are seen everywhere and the Devas aseer vachanams fill the air. meanwhile at Hastinapur Gandhari is fuming with jealous when she heard that Kunti is blessed with a child. she beats her stomach and a big ball of flesh falls down. sage vyasa consoles her and arranges for 100 pots filled with ghee and divides the flesh into 100 parts and stores them in the ghee filled pots. when one piece is left over he brings another pot with ghee and bless Gandhari that a female child also will be born to be. the first ghee pot breaks open and a child is born. He is Dhuryodana. bad omens are seen everywhere when he is born. He also cries like Donkey. all the elders advice Dhritarashtra to get rid of this child as he may bring destruction to the whole of kaurava Kulam. will Dhritarashtra listen to the advice. ? this is Rajee patti telling you Mahabharatam. hariom.

episode 14 Mahabharatam for kids

In this episode Dhrutrashtra Pandu and vidura get married. Pandu is made the king of Hastinapur and he is ruling the country very well bhishmacharya is by his side guiding him. vidhura the personification of Dharma devatha guides Pandu in all the rights and rules of governing a country. Dhritarashtra marrys Gandhari Pandu marrys Kunti and Madhri . Kunti when she was around 9 years old got initiated with a Mantra by Sage Dhurvasa which can make any devatha to come in person and bless her with the child as his amsam. . . Kunti out of curiosity test that mantram on Surya devatha immediately Surya appears before her and bless her with the child Kunti is startled and days confused as to what the world will say about her having a baby even before she got married . she decides to get rid of the baby and puts it in a beautiful box wrapping it with silk cloth with lots of gold and precious stones floats the box into a river. the child is received by a charioter and he adopts the child and brings sit up as a great warrior . that child is karna. Pandu is cursed by a Rishi for killing him while he is enjoying himself with his wife taking the form of a deer. if Pandu enjoys with his wives he will be dead is the curse by the rishi. Pandu leaves for vanavasam. Kunti the wife of Pandu along with Madhri accompanies him to the forest. what happens later let's wait for the next episode. episode 13 Mahabharatam for kids

in this episode satyavati invites Bhagavan Vyasa to bless the wives of Vichitra veeryan - Ambika & Ambalika with children. Satyavati also reveals a secret to Bhishma which she has kept to herself so far. Before she got married to Chandanu maharaj she was blessed with a son by Paarashara Rishi and his name was Krishna Dwaipayana . he had promised to come when I think of him in times of need. this Krishna Dwaipayana is none other than Maharishi Vyasa. She instructed Ambika Ambalika to please the rishi by their humility and get blessed with sons. but fate has other plans. Ambika closed her eyes when Vyasa looked at her as his Roopam was too terrible to look at. since she closed her eyes she was blessed with a son who would be blind. he is Dhritarashtra and when Ambalika was asked to go to him she shivered with fear and her face got whitened. she was blessed with a son who would be born pale in complexion. he is Pandu. then when asked to go again Ambika sent her maid in place of herself. That maid served Vyasa with utmost devotion that he blessed her with a great warrior who would be righteous in his character. he is Vidhura. what happens later let's see in the next episode. hariom. this is Rajee patti telling you Mahabharatam.
