Episode 25: Tammi Kuthan On Giving Up Alcohol And Becoming A KCL Client

Episode 25: Tammi Kuthan On Giving Up Alcohol And Becoming A KCL Client

In this episode I speak with Tammi Kuthan who is a client of mine. She dives into how she's been alcohol free for over 130 days and how it has impacted her positively. She shares the benefit of hiring a coach and we discuss how we have worked together to find the perfect keto for her!

    A little bio on Tammi:

She is an entrepreneur and business woman who, alongside her husband, has successfully expanded the restaurant Doc Green’s Gourmet Salads & Grill, a healthier, fast-casual concept in the state of Kansas. Tammi’s passion has always been somewhere within the food industry. She loves cooking, whether inventing her own unique dishes or using fun recipes, and entertaining friends. Tammi often struggled to find a balance between indulgence and a healthy lifestyle and manageable weight, but when she discovered the Ketogenic diet in 2017, it was a game changer. Her body, spirit and mind have drastically transformed as she continues to feel and look healthy and happy, inside and out. She has mastered the art of enjoying a Keto clean diet and food to its highest level with her innovative cooking, and most importantly, doing it guilt free. Tammi has over 13,000 followers on Instagram, inspiring and influencing anyone who wants to live their best life one bite at a time.  Tammi follows the 90/10 rule and tries to eat clean keto 90% of the time. She makes going to the gym a priority and believes consistency is key to living a healthy life and maintaining her weightloss. In addition to owning Doc Green’s, Tammi is co-owner of Delish Girls Keto and hopes to start selling thier low-carb granola online very soon.

Episode 23: David Webb on Using Keto-Carnivore To Change His Life

Episode 23: David Webb on Using Keto-Carnivore To Change His Life

In today's episode, I speak with David Webb also known as dj_carnivoreketo on Instagram. He is 32 years old and a father of two beautiful children, Whitlea (6) and Wyatt (3) He has been married for 9 years to his wife Nikki. He currently serves on Active Duty in the United States Air Force. He has been practicing a Ketogenic Lifestyle for the past two years and most recently switched over to a more Carnivore approach in the past 7 months.  The reason he started Keto in the first place was to simply just try another diet. What he did not know is that it would later help with the eating disorders that he has struggled with for the past 10 years. He recently just opened up about this struggles with eating disorders and body dysmorphia but feels keto has helped in so many ways and wants to spread the word to those who may need to hear and learn from what he's been through.

She says she no longer has asthma/allergy issues or no more sleep apnea. She also doesn't suffer from any new psoriasis breakouts, her depression and fatigue have disappeared and she is what she calls herself  “food sober” (we dive more into this during the convo). We chat about her eating disorder recovery and body dysmorphia struggles. Episode 20: Kim Howerton's Low Carb Cruise Talk on Habit Change

Episode 20: Kim Howerton's Low Carb Cruise Talk on Habit Change

This episode is also another talk fro the Low Carb Cruise. One given by Kim Howerton on Habit Change! I loved this talk and it was honestly my favorite talk! Kim struggled with food and weight since she 8 years old.
Raised in the low fat diet culture of the 1980’s and 90’s, a time when we were constantly told, “Eat less and exercise more!” was the solution to all our woes. Decades of struggle left her sure there was no solution besides acceptance of what is.
But all that changed when she found Keto, and all the health gains she thought were out of her grasp became her reality.

Already a successful life coach, she added Keto to her toolbox and watched so many people have the kinds of transformations (inside and out) that they’d almost given up hope seeing.

Very Needed

Once Keto was introduced to me, I FINALLY found a diet that can work for me. Dieting by denial kept me on a roller coaster, but Keto has so many friendly foods that I enjoy. Thank you, Kelly, for providing such great info on this so very useful topic. Love the episodes so far, and looking forward to more!

Amazing Keto Resource

Lauren has an amazing amount of knowledge when it comes to the Keto Diet. She also encourages her clients and everyone in the keto community to find what works best with their body and go that route. She understands that there isn’t a one size fits all keto approach. Loving the podcast so far and thank you for all you do for your clients and the keto community in general.

I tried

I very much wanted to like this podcast, and while the information is sound and more often than not well explained, she lost me when she and a guest agreed that they could tell people in restaurants that their kids were allergic to things that they weren’t allergic to just to make ordering food easier, and when she, at one point, said that she “messed up” and ate a salad. The false allergy claims are dangerous and disrespectful, and the salad shaming just makes me unable to relate to her. As my header suggests, I tried, but I just can’t.
