Dungeons & Dragons is many things to many people, but it was designed to be a game about killing monsters. We examine the lore and mechanics of each creature and ask a central question: are they really a monster?
Co-hosts Dylan and Aram are joined by a guest for a DM-deep-dive into a classic D&D monster. The first part is a discussion, and the second is a one-shot Actual Play where our guest takes on the role of the monster.
Each episode of Kill Every Monster is a contained story, so you never have to worry about being caught up or listening out of order.

    Dinosaurs

    Dinosaurs

The Monster Manual describes Dinosaurs as “behemoths that are among the oldest reptiles in the world. Predatory dinosaurs are savage, territorial hunters. Herbivorous dinosaurs are less aggressive, but they might attack to defend their young, or if startled or harassed.
Dinosaurs come in many sizes and shapes. Larger varieties often have drab coloration, while smaller dinosaurs have colorful markings akin to birds. Dinosaurs roam rugged and isolated areas that humanoids seldom visit, including remote mountain valleys, inaccessible plateaus, tropical islands, and deep fens.”
We are joined by Trevor Valle.
Trevor is a part-time field paleontologist who specializes in the recovery and preparation of fossils, and making sure construction crews don't accidentally dig up mammoths. You might have seen him on the History Channel, or maybe on NatGeo digging up mammoths in Siberia, or a bunch of other shows talking about dead stuff and different catastrophic ways the world can end. He is a cast member of Negative2Charisma's “A Sinner's Dream”, the paleontology consultant and dinosaur creator for the new primeval D&D 5E campaign setting Planegea from Atlas Games, and the Creative Director of the upcoming Official D&D Hockey Jersey line from GeekyJerseys. He can be found on Twitter @tattoosandbones.

We are joined by Juni Ruiz.
Juni is a Pro GM, content creator, and very nerdy dad. When he's not running after his adorable toddler or co-hosting Warlocks & Waffles, the *only* 8 a.m. TTRPG morning show, he brings characters to life on TTRPG streams and podcasts. Inexplicably, he still finds time to watch too much anime and keep up with his other favorite fandoms/hobbies, such as Pokemon, Power Rangers, more anime, and board games.
Kill Every Monster is a 5th Edition Dungeons and Dragons podcast. In each episode, we are joined by a guest to discuss the lore, mechanics, and story potential of classic D&D creatures. We debate tactics for maximizing these creatures in your game, and we ask the ever-important question: are they really a monster?
Send us your questions for a future mailbag episode!

Welcome to Replay and DIE RPG

Twenty years ago, we played a game. We recorded that game and shared it over the airwaves of our high school radio station, WKEY AM 1360.
People listened. So did other things.
Twenty years later, we were invited to play a live reunion show for the hardcore fans. Little did we know, this time the game was real.

Brutal Jimi ,

Definitely recommend all new GM’s to listen

Definitely an entertaining listen. The show follows a 3 step process

Step 1: Identifies the monster
Step 2: is it an monster/what would you change
Step 3: Pvp with the monster in a one shot

While I’m not a new GM, the step 3 for planting ideas on how to use a monster you haven’t used before is super helpful.

Aram and Dylan are visionaries

After hearing their lovingly antagonistic dynamic featured in Unprepared Casters as player characters, I craved more of that dynamic. It's Luckily, these fellas had their own DnD show- one that I could pick up and get into at my own pace. Every episode is incredibly informative about the "monster", incredibly thoughtful in regards to cultural influences on its portrayal, and wildly entertaining with flavorful editing and tabletop segments built around the monster of the episode. However, the written word from my pen is not something that can do this show justice. You just need to listen for yourself.

Masterful Storytelling

As always, Aram and company picks apart the facade of traditional tropes, revealing a far more insightful, and nuanced world. This time, from the perspective of the bad guys. It makes you think about monsters in a way you never have before. 👏👏👏
