Good, but not enough
I appreciate what is said, but take exception to the (in my opnion) relevant items left unsaid. For instance, regarding COVID-19, why didn't the Church warn society it was coming - many experts for many years predicted it and church did nothing but bystand to their warnings. How is "kingdom ethics" adequate in 2020 given this?
Relevant Conversations for the Church
David and Jeremy bring a welcome perspective to many relevant conversations that need to be had in and by the Church today. It is refreshing to hear evangelical (or post evangelical) voices offer such thoughtful responses to the various topics tackled in Kingdom Ethics. The only downside is that the episodes and seasons are rather short. Overall the episodes offer much in the way of theological and ethical food for thought in response to much of the goings on found in today’s headlines.
Good discussion starter
My husband and I listen to Kingdom Ethics on road trips and sometimes on our daily commute because we ride together. It has sparked a lot of discussions, and we have found the interaction between David the academic and Jeremy the pastor helpful in our relationship because it kind of parallels us. My husband is an academic at heart, studying Ethics, and I am a pastor. We each bring our experience and gifting to discussions and those discussions are enhanced by KE podcast and what we are learning about how the practical and the intellectual can and should coexist in kingdom work. Thanks for your work!
