    “Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.” — Psalm 37:4 Today’s devotional is about something we all experience, but don’t always know how to identify: temptation. First, let’s settle this: God does not tempt us. God is not dangling sin in front of us to “see what we’ll do.” He is a good Father, and He has already made decisions concerning us—decisions rooted in love, purpose, and His will. So where does temptation come from? Temptation often originates from desire. Our temptations don’t come out of nowhere. They usually rise from something we want—deeply. And this is where discernment matters, because not every desire has the same origin. This verse isn’t God promising to grant anything we crave. It’s an invitation into alignment. When we delight in the Lord, He doesn’t just give us what we want—He begins to shape what we want.
