Bullying.  We politically talk about it.  Schools boast of the measures and rules they have implemented and the media share stories, however why are the rates of bullying continually growing at an enormous rate. I have just the person here on the Know Thyself /Purpose Revolution Podcast to help discuss the topic of Bullying and to offer some helpful suggestions that just may help turn things around. My guest is none other than Mr. Ivery McKee CEO and Founder of The Collab Show.  A popular show on Instagram. Mr. Ivery McKee is a Motivational Speaker & Talk Show Host that helps people develop confidence and become the best versions of themselves. Statistics On Bullying According to an article written by By Jeff Mordock - Washington Times - Wednesday, July 15, 2020.  Titled, “School shootings on the rise, say Justice, Education departments.” According to Mr. Mordock, A record number of school shootings were reported in the 2018-19 school year, according to a report released by the Justice and Education departments Wednesday.  He goes on to say, “During that school year, a total of 99 shootings were reported, the most since the 2017-18 year when 78 shootings took place.” Among the shootings that occurred in the 2018-19 school year, 29 resulted in deaths, 37 resulted in injuries only and 33 resulted in no casualties. In all of these horrible incidents, sadly someone was being bullied. We have to come to the realization that what we are doing isn’t working.  I can personally tell you that metal detectors, police officers, and arming teachers is not a solution. Based on my research and my “From Pain To Purpose Workshops” conducted over 8 years have shown students have a “Purpose Deficiency.”  This leads to the negative behavior we are witnessing. Not having something to inspire you to get up every morning, not feeling a sense of self-worth can cause a tremendous amount of pain.
