As the Creator economy continues to expand, so must our methods of decorum both as brands and influencers. But what does that look like? In this week’s episode, we sit down with Shannae Ingleton Smith, Co-Founder & Head of Influencer Talent and Business Development at Kensington Grey Agency Inc.
The conversation is a deep dive into professionalism within the creator economy, what creators can do to be taken seriously, how brands can foster stronger relationships with creators, and how both sides can work to demolish the influencer pay gap.

#LiveOffline
The idea of your content competing amongst the millions of people on Instagram can feel like a daunting task. You may ask yourself, “How can I gain notoriety in my niche? How can brands discover me?” Interestingly, the key to thriving online might be spending more time living and creating offline.
In this week’s episode, we sit down with Besidone Amoruwa, an Instagram Executive in Instagram’s Innovative Partnerships Department, and the Black woman responsible for spotlighting Black beauty creators to gain heightened visibility on the platform. Our conversation is an in-depth examination of how to maximize trends online, utilize creator tools to grow your following, and how to set yourself apart and find success on both a micro and macro level.

#Intermission
Hey Kontent Kingdom,
The Kontent Queens are taking a quick break this week and won't be publishing a full episode today. This week is a Federal Holiday in the United States; more importantly, we need some time to rest, reflect, and reenergize. Making dope shit ain't easy, so we're going to go sit down somewhere.
But don't worry, we'll be back July 12th with episode four and a very very special guest. While we're away, please be sure to listen to episodes one through three of this season, and if you have the energy and space, go back and listen to season one! It has tons of free gems that we want you to hear and learn from.
We'll see you all next week!
With Love,
Vic Styles and The Notorious K.I.A

Gems on gems on gems!!
I’ve been subconsciously a content creator for years, but I’ve finally decided to become consistent and intentional about it. This podcast has answered questions and helped me understand that I’m doing the right thing and they are providing the tools to ensure I do it the right way!
Gems on gems on gems on gems! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and helping Black girls in their journeys to share their art in digital spaces!
So many content creation gems
For the amount of tea that they are dropping, they could be charging for it! I recently just paid to go to an influencer event and I didn’t learn anywhere near this much having spent hundreds on that event. If you are at all serious about leveling up your contraction game, tune in to these women and the lovely ladies that they are interviewing. You’ll learn so much!
Glad They’re Back!
SO happy they’re back dropping social media gems as usual (with a 2022 spin of course) and I’m just really excited for this season! I started listening to them maybe last year or beginning this year and didn’t know I’d be yearning for more for so long 😂😂😂 anyway, can’t wait to see what’s in store ❤️
